Yellow & Redneck
According to the match preview Scott Fox will play for us come Saturday, looks like McCall has lost faith in Halliwell.
thornwoodjag
good luck to the boy.hope he is half decent.
Yellow & Redneck
Only ever turned out 17 times at senior level, and 11 of those were for East Fife. But The Jags have a nice record of turning out decent keepers like Tuffey with no or little experience. Best of luck, you really can't do much worse. kni
It's a positive sign that we have 4 young players plus, hopefully, Fox in the squad. We need to freshen up the side and create competition for places.
Third Lanark
I couldnt find anything that says we had signed Fox, just more we wee hopeful of getting soem sort of deal with him. Finances are not great so I am far from taking it for certain that Fox will be signed.
The Incredible Adam Spark
I'd imaginge he'll feature as a trialist.
lady-isobel-barnett
It's a positive sign that we have 4 young players plus, hopefully, Fox in the squad. We need to freshen up the side and create competition for places. It's no secret that Campbell, Fraser & Lochhead are robust players. None are easily knocked off the ball. Pound for pound Bannigan isn't exactly a pushover either despite his slight build. Too often in the past youngsters coming into the side had to be "protected" like Burns (another one who has bulked up a bit) last season. Imo the only thing holding back some our better youngsters is first team experience.
Graemei
I'd imaginge he'll feature as a trialist. Yes I believe that is correct, with us as a trialist for now. Hope he's good, could do with a solid/consistant goalie just now.
kni
It's possible that Fox will be offered a short-term deal (after his trialist period) whilst the coaching team work with Halliwell on his confidence and game. It is difficult to see where the money will come from for a deal until the end of the season.
PaleGreySky
I'd like to see who's in the squad if there's that many younger players involved. Edited October 29, 2010 by PaleGreySky
Yellow & Redneck
Clicky This looks like that the move will go ahead, and Fox will be in for 2morros game. This is great news Maybe we will see Halliwell or Hinchy move on in January, no point in having 3 senior keepers in the ranks.

It's important we make that distinction. Any talk of departing keepers is premature.
Mr Bunny
As a trialist. It's important we make that distinction. Any talk of departing keepers is premature. Yes .. I'd expect the idea is twofold - to create some competition for Halliwell and maybe also giving us a more realistic option of dropping Halliwell when he has a howler and giving him time to get his confidence back rather than being straight back in when he's on a low. So will he play games as a trialist or sign a contract? I.M said that we have no money to spend
The Incredible Adam Spark
So will he play games as a trialist or sign a contract? I.M said that we have no money to spend I believe the maximum number of games you can feature in as a trialist is three.

Looks like he won't be getting the chance to make anymore howlers, not tomorrow anyway.
kni
McCall on Fox at the bottom of today's match preview “It looks as if Scott will be playing as a trialist again tomorrow but we are in the process of drawing up a contract which has to go to the SFA for all the relevant clearance. We would hope that would all be concluded in the early part of next week.”
kni
Scott has signed. From today's match preview - "“We have a deal in place with Scott Fox and his contract has been lodged with the SFA who at just waiting on FIFA clearance that will allow him to become a Partick Thistle player. It’s not vital though that that comes through in time as he can play once more as a trialist and will do just that if required to do so.” Good news! Jaggernaut
Didn't have a great deal to do yesterday (one good save from a free kick), but looked comfortable and confident. Good at crosses, and kicks well.
