Or not? Will David Beattie also accept (as he has and will be told if he truly listens) that the ongoing omnipresence of Tom Hughes is a barrier to greater supporter engagement among many supporters of the club? Or has he never been told this?
Vom Itorium
Hopefully a question relating to such will be included in the forthcoming survey. ie 'If former incompetents of the club retain to have some hold over decisions made will you still part with a brass farthing?' No Absolutely not Will I ****

And what deal did he try to cut with some of the JTB in order for them to be happy letting JJ go? The whole episode stinks more than my worst set of fish puns. I think I've haddock enough of this shadowy accountant and his role in PropCo and meddling in the Trust.
stolenscone
Or has he never been told this? I distinctly recall a full and frank exchange of views on this very subject some months ago between Mr Beattie, Mr Alexander, Mr Hogg, Ms Mchaffie and myself. Plus ca change. MerryHell
Cod we just get (stickle)back to talking about the message from the boardroom? I await the forthcoming survey with bait(ed) breath. Edited February 20, 2011 by MerryHell

Jaggernaut
Our league position might have looked better if we'd signed Trouten when we had the chance.
jaf
Tom Hughes really is the one that got away isn't he? Anyway, I am sure Tom Hughes is quoted as saying that he cast the proxy votes in accordance with the board members voting; that being the case it is a bit disengenous for Beattie to claim this is a shareholder matter. If he wanted rid of Jim, why does he not just come out and let the ordinary fan know why? Why does TH comtinue to be invited to represent the club in various matters but JA does not seem to be? How can anyone believe in greater suporter engagement if there is not transparency, openess and honesty coming from the Board?

partickthedog
Straight 10's from our jury for diplomacy on that one, jaf Maintaining the fishing theme it seems that the casting of the vote followed the party line.
