honved
For those who like their beer, I have just had advance notice that Black Isle Brewery will be holding Jocktoberfest at the brewery on 9, 10 and 11 September. The brewery is about 5 miles south of Dingwall, just off the A9 and the festival will include camping as at their summer do (details here). The brewery is served by a Stagecoach bus from Inverness but from the brewery to Dingwall for the match, it's a five mile taxi journey. I can assure you that I will now be averse to doing anything similar in case someone lodges a complaint.

Rest assured, some of the forum (ir)regulars and Mods will be beavering away to find fault with this thread, mlady!
Jaggernaut
I'm staying out of this one, having had more than my fair share of grief over puns.
Mr Bunny
Maybe to play safe we should get back on topic ... after all it's about real ale. Edited July 13, 2011 by Mr Bunny
Mr Bunny
Actually I've just realised that merely by posting in this thread I'm taking part in the pun thing. Edited July 13, 2011 by Mr Bunny
honved
There was never any intention to start a pun thread. I just thought some folk might be interested in the juxtapositioning of a beer festival that offers free camping, with a Jags away day. Or a link to it?
honved
I am Honved, do you have anymore details about this? Or a link to it? The brewery has a Facebook page and details will, I'm sure, appear on their website. So far the details are...it's from Thursday 8th to Sunday 11th September and it will be like the summer shindig but "with more sauerkraut". lady-isobel-barnett
Jocktoberfest website now launched. Reminds me of one of the Black Isle beers. Not usually impressed with beers with silly names but I do make an exception for their extremely strong Xmas special ale, St Nicholas Knicker Dropper Glory.
