For the first half hour we were absolutely shocking and Ayr could quite conceivably been two or three ahead before we mustered a shot on target worthy of the name. Towards the end of the half we took control a bit and huffed and puffed but never really troubled Ayr. After half time we battled hard before taking the lead courtesty of a fine strike from Doolan. The second goal though seemed to completely take the wind out of Ayr (that sounds like a really strange statement when said out loud) and we won comfortably in the end, whilst playing some decent stuff at times too. Cairney, in particular, tried his hear out and I feel he would have been equally as deserving of the MOM award as Doolan. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
