Jaggernaut
Â This could end up a bit Monty Python from me (but aye, apart from them how many other good loanees have we had) so I'll just leave the names of Steven Campbell, Kal Naismith, Andy Stewart, and Steven Lennon to even it up a bit. Â Couldn't catch a ball, couldn't dive, couldn't kick a ball. Â The worst goalkeeper ever to play for Thistle, surely.
jags on tour
Jukka Santala was on loan from Rangers, I'm not quite sure whether he was bad or terrible!
dan_frank
Jukka Santala was on loan from Rangers, I'm not quite sure whether he was bad or terrible! Â Santala was pretty decent actually.
twinny
Santala was pretty decent actually. Â He was a terrible but somehow effective footballer for the level we were at. I certainly liked him.
GrantB
It was by pure fluke that Santala did so well up front. He was only put there by the hapless DC to stop him from being such a bombscare at the back.
lady-isobel-barnett
Santala must've been the last Jags player to be made official MotM at an away game.
kni
The hit and miss loans reflect the quality of the managerial team's contacts and judgement. McNamara brought in better loanees than McCall and Campbell. As others have said, we will have to look to English clubs for loan players now. There could be some good free agents, young and experienced, available too.

Garscube Road End
True but he was a great singer, mimic and looked good in a kilt. Â "Oh Donald! Where's Yer Troosers" Rangers prick!
Dariog
I agree with Kni We must look further afield and into England for loans We must expect and be aware that there is interest in our players from England Bannigan, Muirhead and the likes Leeds, Wolves, brentford etc are waiting in the wings Long term we shoul build relationships develop players and move them on at a profit
The Sunnylaw Jag
See it is confirmed on the official website that Fraser has signed on loan for an initial period of six months.
read'n'yell
Think this is a very good piece of business. Huge potential.
Mr Bunny
Not potential for us though. However if he does well with us that may make us a good proposition for bigger clubs who want to loan out young players. We've seen down the years other clubs of the same or even lower standing than us get loans of several really promising players from English teams and wondered how we couldn't manage this. Maybe we can in future.
read'n'yell
Our number one priority at the moment is to stay in the SPL. A second year in the SPL could really see our finances boost, so if Fraser helps us get that then I see it as a huge potential for us.
