lady-isobel-barnett
According to the Express, who I believe are usually quite accurate, we've invited Hannes Anier (younger brother of the guy at Motherwell) in for a trial http://www.express.c...cotland+Feed%
The Sunnylaw Jag
Found this online, he is the No.7, who sits on a the left wing throughout.
Yellow & Redneck
It would certainly appear that Archie has identified the problems in our front-line, and is looking to rectify it. Hannes Anier looks like a big guy, certainly would be the tallest of our strikers bar McGuigan, and looks of a much heavier build. Will add some much needed muscle to our attacking options. Obviously I wouldn’t want to just “take a punt” on one of the two players on trials, as we have no space for passengers. But to echo my sentiments on Saturday, if we do bring in another attacker, we can’t really be playing just one out and out striker each week. lady-isobel-barnett
Archie was hopeful of getting the guy we were after from England in the January window. I wouldn't have thought we'd require two new strikers presumably of a similar style. So maybe if we take on one of the trialists it would be on an initial short term contract. ThickAsThieves
Thistle, meanwhile, are set to snap up former Rangers trialist keeper Scott Basalaj this week. So we'll have Fox with Gallacher as back-up and Waters/Basalaj as our goalkeepers in the U20s. Scully will probably be off when he returns. Anyone heard how he's getting on? They're second in League One and he's played all their league games, so must be doing OK I presume. Though only one shut-out plus one in the League Cup. McGuigan scored for Rovers at the weekend. Lindau
If Anier is as good as his brother appears he will be a very good signing!
Dick Dastardly
Not sure what to make from that video. He does look like a powerful winger, but not sure he looks like a double figures striker from that clip. I'm sure there is more to his game and in Archie we trust. Armand2
Looks a bit too similar to Christie. Worth a look though.
Lord Rosebury
He doesn't look like a centre forward. I wonder if we're looking for a replacement for Lawless?
allyo
Stevie Lawless sounded pretty positive about staying on Alba.
stillresigned
The type of player we could really do with is a player who knows where the goalposts are, like Paul Hefferman or even Boyd i.e. their no world beaters , but their always going to get a good few points for their teams as was the case on Saturday. Mind you I doubt Boyd is actually up to this passing and moving business that our lads seem to prefer.
Members Willjag
Looks a bit too similar to Christie. Exactly what I was thinking. Worth a look for the U20's though. allyo
Just that he wanted to stay and they were in talks about a contract. He likes playing at Thistle, good group of players etc etc.
