  2. I agree with all that has been said above about BBG. The big thing for me about Graham is that he never hides. If Lawless or Fitzpatrick can get the ball into the 6 yard box Graham will be there even when he is having a barren spell. He will miss some chances, all Strikers do, but in and around the 6 yard box he is a predator. The second goal v Airdrie shows Graham at his best. Graham was waiting/anticipating something might happen and when the keeper spilled the ball he was on to it in a flash leaving his marker in his wake. What a player and what a signing. Congratulations on receiving these nominations and best of luck in the future - hopefully at Firhill.
  3. 18 goals conceded in his 5 games. Hope that is the end of him in a Jags shirt.
  4. I only saw the highlights and don't see how Stewart was to blame for any of the goals. The the firstgoal was very poor penalty box defending, highlights didnt show the reason for the penalty so cant comment on this goal and the second and third were good moves by Utd though our defence looked slow and lethargic in terms of awareness and movement. I couldnt see where Stewart was to blame for any of the goals. Why have some posters been critical?
  5. Maybe we could revise our recruitment like Colchester United have? πŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ˜‚
  6. Tomi Adeloye has been released by Swindon Town πŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€
  7. Hospitality on sale for Friday night's game against Airdrie: https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-news/friday-night-play-off-hospitality-on-sale-now/
  8. Today
  9. The right decision to play a weakened team but the performance was poor. Last chance to impress for a few and safe to say they didn’t. Hopefully the last time we see Stewart in goals! It’s not Stanway but Mackenzie who I feel sorry for. He’s never played in his position (centre mid) and is always stuck at rb/rwb where he really struggles.
  10. It's just a mention on a list If Elgin City did that then it would be a great achievement. I agree that for Thistle it wasn't. But you can't define what is an 'honour" by the status of the club. If you did that you wouldn't be listing any of Celtic's league titles while "Rangers" were down the leagues.
  11. We could go to European semi finals, later stages of the cups, 3rd in the Premier league and not get any honours, but 4th in a league of 10 and a few lucky results gets you an honour ? It is awarding mediocrity just for an excuse to have something overly hyped. Save honours for REAL achievements.
  12. I noticed Raith Rovers let season ticket holders buy their seats early for their playoff games.. Obviously they had a bit more notice technically of who they would be playing. It would be good if they did similar for fans in the JHS for the playoff games. Never sat in my own seat once during the run last season. I can't turn up half an hour early due to work commitments.
  13. Yesterday
  14. Brian Graham at Arbroath is a perfect example
  15. Suspect quite a few players scored their first league goal in a defeat. Sure he'll remember it regardless of the scoreline.
  16. We did our "duty," i.e, capitulate to the Tannadice mob (again!). Now, let's see if we can do ourselves really proud in the games ahead, not as gallant also-rans, but overall winners!
  17. Feel sorry for young Stanway his first league goal and it now counts for nothing..
  18. Looks like six changes in their starting XI from the team they put out in the previous game (0-0 v Dundee Utd).
  19. Finishing 8th in the Premier League is a greater achievement than winning the second division, but only one of them is an "honour" and it's not 8th.
  20. Disappointing to lose a game but it is 1 of 36 and this season in his first full season Doolan has led us to our highest finish since relegation from the Premiership. Given everything that was going on in the summer I think that is a good return. Now on to the playoffs and a full house (home stands anyway) at Firhill on Friday night.
  21. I would not get too worried about tonight. Our fans had a great time!
  22. It is not elitist to recognise that finishing top 6 in the premier is a far greater achievement than, for example, a League 2 title or League 1 playoff win
  23. Unless we play a lower league team in the cup… What was Ngwenya thinking to give away that penalty! We gifted them two goals. At least we rested some and provided some debuts … The real stuff begins on Tuesday
  24. It was a shadow team with a game plan design to minimise energy expended. And it worked.
  25. Solid third place. On to the play offs. Hopefully a bit refreshed.
  26. Few of the B team will grace the A team … hope never to see Stewart again
  27. This is now embarrassing...
