Something from nothing and running in glue when trying to track back! Always remember the huge picture back page of Herald when he nutmegged Cantona and had the biggest grin ever but was wearing a Celtic strip..... Made going to Firhill in bleak times worth while.

Agree that if year after year there is progress, no matter how slight ie one league position improvement and one round further in the cup, then it's good news and should be applauded. The club on and off the pitch, in these financial times, are going the right way and everyone associated should be optimistic and hopeful. After all there have been plenty of times of real doom and gloom in the past. REDNYELLARMY.

Saturday sees the beginning of a new season. There appears to be a bit of apathy/ doubt/ pessimism. Is it warranted? Yes we have lost a few players but signed a few players. Launched a new strip, Twittered the life out of our new mascot. BUT surely we are better placed than the likes of Motherwell, Killie and Hamilton for the season ahead! It's Thistle and we could be anywhere and nowhere so start viewing those YouTUbe clips and a magical Thistle moment may happen this year! In Archie We Trust! Onward and let's start by putting Hamilton in their place!

AA should stay. Its easy to be a manager when all is well so now we will see how it goes. Confidence throughout the team is shot to pieces hence no passing game. Poor decision making isn't helping ie when SoD could have cut back a simple pass to Stevo but tried a side back heel thingy pass!!!! wTF. Now that simple tap in, one up, different game. So many to pick from. Confidence,confidence, confidence and only Taylor and Stevenson seem to have any at the moment. Time to see if Archie will make it as a manager.

So keep these six players on our books that are clearly not good enough or grow a pair, cut our losses and move on....... Unbeaten start to the season, the best team I have seen with the best prospects and I cannot fault Archie and his team. Archie has come out and stated how difficult it is to get BETTER players to sign and he will not sign dross just for the numbers. We all were shocked to see Doolan on the bench but you can't argue with a 4-0 win against Ross in your opening game. #InArchieWeTrust

Can't understand the love-in for Piccolo!! He is a Bombscare and only improved by being dumped on the bench. Even when he came on to help the defense he was a liability. Dreadful in the air, constantly ball watching, man-marking non existent. Not good enough by a long way!!!!

Does anyone else see Stevenson as the Taylor alternative? Higgy, Dools and Ryan up front. Also Ozzy was missing for the crux of the season so to me that leaves ATS and Mair as requiring replacing! All the squad have a year under their belt in the Premiership and I would take them over anything Dundee, Hamilton, Killie and St Midden, apart from Thompson, have in their squad and have signed this summer! The most optimistic I have EVER been supporting the Jags! In Archie We Trust.

One step further on in the following year should be the aim i.e. 9th in the league and minimum one round further on in the cups! progress has to be made!

YAWN.......... That's your concern to start a new thread!! Best Thistle squad in 40 years, Signing players we couldn't have thought possible. Young evolving players, A board who appear to listen, hospitality moved in house, with other teams personnel changes a real chance of being clear of relegation and with that possible cup aspirations, youth teams funded and established....... A very positive move by the club. As I have posted previously my dealing with the previous hospitality solutions was a disgrace and haven't been back for functions or hospitality. Will be back again this year and hopefully it will be back to it's former glory.

You don't expect the Self Preservation Fix League to actually have the same playoff system as 2nd to 1st and 1st to Championship. Its all heavily tilted to the Premiership team!!!! Trying to explain this to the other mob was difficult enough now they realise there are other teams in the country.

My only gripe re McMillan is that he never looks for the ball from the keeper. Will "hide" behind the striker, while looking in lots of space, he has the forward between him and the keeper therefore giving Gall no chance of giving him the ball! SoD always moved wide out and back to collect the ball from the goalie.

Well Done Thistle! The hard work from all involved at Thistle justly rewarded at last. Fantastic Team Spirit throughout and now we can sit back and smile at a fantastic season with some great football. RedNYellarmy!!!!!!

One of the mob that I really can't stand. Not bothered to make any upgrade to that ground AND almost went up last year. Hope St Midden go down so they miss out on that too. Can still hear them bleating about finishing above us in the league but we negotiated the playoffs to promotion!! No sympathy whatsoever!

Brilliant to see Morton going down. Missing out on Sevco, Hearts and St Mirren next season is very very painful and expensive. Need to sell a few more mint mojos now to get their super stadium upto 1st Division spec!!!!

To see Kilmarnock having greetin meetins and our boys are away at a nice place with nice facilties before the crucial run in, I know which I would prefer and like to see my team partaking in! At long last what looks like a professional outfit approach and at a vital time. Think we could get used to this!!!!!!

Here we go, making up statements that if said often enough then become true. "chose to ignore (or somehow didn't see) a blatantant handball on Saturday." Clearly he did see it and did not ignore it. He saw the hand ball but ruled it was ball to hand and not deliberate hand ball hence play on. He reiterated this with the action he made to Bannigan when he was protesting. But easily the worst refereeing performance this season.

Armand2 couldn't agree more. Baird has shown nothing to replace Dools. Yet to hear anyone mention his embarrassing dive on Tuesday. Start Dools and like all the team he will settle in and prosper. Magnificent team and you actually believe they love this club as much as we do!!

A return for Welsh? It's been two weeks and not seen or heard of an update re his injury!
