  1. Expect Celtics v Greenock will be the TV match if it's terrestrial and not satellite. Any idea why BBC shortbread sportsdrivel referred to it as the quarter finals draw?
  2. Shiels claim that we should appreciate the fact that Super Dan works 24 hours a day 7 days a week made my day. Idiot.
  3. Remember it's darkest Lanarkshire so it's time travel back a couple of centuries that's required.
  4. Spain, who are U21 world champs had the highest representation of home grown youth players starting top flight matches last season. Clearly SPFL & SFA need to follow the Jags example of having faith in young Scots.
  5. Although there's absolutely no logic in it I was thinking along similar lines - there are players (and managers) and clubs who complement each other to the extent that the chemistry just isn't there when they go elsewhere. Erskine might fall into this category. Then again, given his unpredictability he might not!
  6. I'm not getting the 'big target man' or 'tall centre-forward' thing. Goals last year came from all over the park, with Lawless, a short-ersed midfielder and Erskene and Doohlan, neither a conventional centre-forward being the highest scorers. Why the desire to time-travel back to the 70's and play long to a so called target man.
  7. I did the right thing doubling up on the blood pressure meds early then.
  8. hadn't noticed that sort of thing is not the done thing on here. ever. irrespective of my shortcomings in editing skills, i'm not really getting the link between academic qualifications and ability to meet the considerable challenges of running a top flight football club. why would recruiting 3 (very specific!) uni graduates work very well - genuine question?
  9. Apart from being disrespectful to ....er, Maxi, that is actually hilarious. Some of most inept chancers I've met in business were overly keen to wave their MBA in my face within 5 minutes of meeting them. It's nota pre-requisite or guarantee of ability or success.
  10. Isn't that exactly what has happened? With the sequence of fixtures, Hearts and all that and if we can continue our home form there's an even chance we could be comfortable by the turn of the year.
  11. If I was Wilson i'd be looking for a new agent.
  12. Epic night. Tremendous atmo, superb beers - the Salvator being the pick, a good complement of Jags fans and an Oompah band from Lochgelly. Well done GPT! Can't say I remember much about the soccerballs world series european championship mind you.
  13. Double the fun if you're a Jags supporting afficionado and fan of the Oompah musical genre!
  14. Perfect antidote to my less than satisfying week. Good work!
  15. never did me any harm. and i still have one or two of my actual teeth. i'm preparing for carnage on KentStrasse. looking forward to it.
  16. Interesting comparative stats for Fox after 100 games shamelessly stolen from Tell Him He's Pele http://www.scribd.com/doc/136988607/PTFC-Goalies-After-100-Games
  17. Mind and include one or two shots that you took of your excellent trainers. ;-)
  18. just a few? lightweight. ;-)
  19. Wotte tweeted confirmation of this earlier.
  20. Graham would be a decent capture. Hope the rumours have some substance.
  21. ref should have stopped play for an infringement on the half way line so IMO was balancing things out. Madden-esque performance from the ref and begs the question why an obviously inexperienced ref was handed a game that had a lot resting on it, i.e., title and relegation. their no.5 should also have walked for a 2nd bookable offence and wtf did Erskine get booked for?
  22. At the fag end of the season if we're sitting mid table, which more often than not, the forum is normally fit to burst with calls to give young players a chance as there's nothing to play for. How fantastic it is that we've got everything to play for as a result of giving young players a chance from the start of the season.
  23. I was at the UEFA Final between Sevilla & Espanyol at Hampden a few years back and there were parts of the stadium where fans were integrated, mostly families around where I was sitting, which if anything added to the atmosphere. Something we should aspire to in my view.
