I am also a JAGS fan of 50+ years & I have always been optimistic every pre-season.If you cannot be optimistic then what's the point of supporting a team. Having seen the performances in the pre-season tournament Jackie appears to have assembled a squad who are playing to a system where players are interchangeable & are comfortable with this. In previous posts I had suggested Newco in Div 1 with a 25 point penalty. After what has been happening especially today I agree they should only be admitted to Div3 at best. The SPL chairmen do not have a spine between them as they did not make the decision.It was their fans who made it clear what they should do. Therefore I hope the SFL chairmen are listening to their fans & vote en mass NO. If the only way to SPL2 is blackmail forget it.

At last a voice of reason.I totally agree with you 100%. The way things are going so called football fans of all clubs would rather see Scottish football die because of their hatred of another club. I have already renewed my season ticket & will never desert Thistle. life is not always fair & clear cut & yes sometimes the bad guys win or get a lucky break. However,should the New Co be admitted to Div 1 I would suggest a 25 point penalty or else Div 3 with no penalty points. Also I do not think they would easily win league as everyone is presuming.

Last season we moaned about Jackie not making tactical changes.He had nothing to change with. Current squad shaping up to enable more tactical options. Bring on the new season.
