  1. Where do we stop with this kind of analysis? What about the points that Brian Graham 'cost us' with his penalty misses? Or Banzo falling asleep when 'defending' the post at a corner in the 3-3 draw at Inverness? It's football and these things are part of the game. Anyway, hands down the stupidest penalty given away of the lot was the 36 year old Foster's at New St Mirren Park in the League Cup. As for Lewis Mayo, he was a fine addition to the squad and gave Thistle much more on the plus side of his balance sheet.
  2. A fair few revel-ling about old confections here.
  3. Why is your handle in lower case, yet every subject you start on this forum is in upper case?
  4. Ex-England international who played in all four divisions of the English league in the same season?
  5. Teams rewarded for failure by being able to participate in three different European tournaments in the same season - and failing in all of them. See the East End of Glasgow club this season for verification. What's this about Kingsley though? He's class!!
  6. In the game I watched, Arbroath didn't take advantage of their pressure during the game, didn't take advantage against 10, 9 and then 10 and 9 men again for about fifty minutes of play, and were the only team to miss a penalty in the shoot-out. Where exactly was the travesty?
  7. Bannigan isn't even the best midfielder at Firhill anymore. It's high time that was admitted.
  8. Hasn't Foster got previous for belting his own team mate at St Johnstone during a game (Danny Grainger)??
  9. We skoosh that one no contest given the nick of our pitch.
  10. Whoever was on the back post for the second goal (Banzo?) has a case to answer.
  11. Feels like a big boot in the haw-maws given the scores going into injury time, however it's probably a set of results we would have accepted prior to kick-off. No ground lost after a difficult away fixture - and both Arbroath and Kilmarnock failed to win at home.
  12. You cursed it through premature triumphalism AG!!!!!
  13. Big Wull - what's the team talk for tonight? Kudos and safe travelling to all those able to make the journey.
  14. Could have been better, could have been worse. The opportunity of a long overdue cup win against that lot? Yes please.
  15. That's a better view than Sportscene will ever manage. Thanks as always Camallain.
  16. Or Ian Floote. Apologies for cross referencing the other thread on this one, however I noticed that the Ibrox game where pre-Sevco scored both goals after midnight was 'refereed' by that paragon of equilibrium and fair play JRP Gordon (Newport-on-Tay). Draw your own conclusions: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Gordon_(referee)
  17. To win any cup the luck is always on the park rather than in the draw itself. That said, anybody at Firhill would be preferred.
  18. Never an issue GRE. The best investment in life is memories. I love Jags memories, even the bad ones.
  19. Dreadful behaviour to resurrect that horrific memory GRE. Really did you have to? Joking apart, that was a night that summed Thistle up. McCoist is a **** though - that was his first ever goal against Thistle at any level.
