  1. Hmmm - we're looking a bit light at the back and, indeed, up front with that line-up....
  2. I was going to put this in the 'Tickets' topic, but it's slightly different so I've started a new one - does anyone know what's planned for this Friday? The official site says there'll be a face off between Kingsley and Paisley Panda, but are there going to be other things going on before the game?
  3. Thought we were going to come away with at least a point today but not to be. Not surprised it was that wee hair weave arseh*le Griffiths - hope he broke his foot kicking the hoarding like he did at Livi. Got to look at today's result as a blip - bring on St Midden and Scumdee.
  4. Really good tonight - despite claiming to be biased it's a lot more even handed than Radio Scotland. Very professional too - I envy you guys ability to remain (relatively) calm and keep the flow going. Much appreciated, and I seem to be onto my second bottle of wine.....
  5. I would imagine you could issue vouchers with the match ticket that could be exchanged for food and drink
  6. Is this our highest league position since gaining promotion?
  7. I think you'll find that Theesel, there's only one Theesel, there's only one Theesel.....
  8. Interesting quote from Fraser here: http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/partick_thistle/14165244.Boost_for_Partick_Thistle_as_Gary_Fraser_set_to_return/? I wonder if the player causing the injury might have been Stevo, thereby hastening his exit? Just a thought....
  9. Maybe he's having trouble paying his petrol for commuting from Ayrshire in that huge feckoff 4x4 with the personalised number plate that he drives about in.
  10. Real fans like myself should have a separate VIP section in the Aitken Suite to remind the non-real element of our support of what real fans look like. The fact there isn't shows how much the club treat us (i.e. the fans) with contempt.
  11. I think we have to be careful about slinging accusations around over this. To be clear, I don't think this is of the order of the Jamie Mitchell/Fulton Bookiegate incident of 10 years ago. If Ryan was doing anything underhand, I don't think he'd have been so willing to pose for photographs and talk to Jonathan Sutherland. I think it's pretty clear that unless something changes drastically, Stevenson will be playing as a sub at best until his contract at Firhill ends. It also strikes me that Stevo has quite a substantial ego, and he'll be unwilling to play that part. Unfortunately, Stevenson is one of those players that Thistle fans (myself included) were at best lukewarm to, and this season he's done himself no favours at all. There may be a perfectly plausible scouting reason for Stevo to be at Rugby Park, but all the signs point to a player who's run out of time at Firhill.
  12. Oh and just by the way, roond ye Billy Dodds ya wee fat fud.
  13. Banzo ran the show today. Some lovely touches and killer passes. Booth excellent also.
  14. Should make the 'any red cards in this game' betting a lot easier though...
  15. We were dross up there against them earlier in the season and they only won one-nil. I'd like to think we're better now and good enough to take at least a point off them. For all that the BBC commentators on Sportscene are creaming themselves over Dingwall's finest, I don't think they're any better better than what they've been in the second half of the last few seasons. We could do with 3 points with 3 hard fixtures coming up though....
  16. Well, there you go. It's not just the BBC that can't recognise our players - Dumbaya's fairly sprouted since the last time I saw him.... http://www.eveningtelegraph.co.uk/2015/12/14/partick-thistle-1-0-dundee-united-more-misery-for-mixu/?
  17. If people want to doubt Archie, let them. Being a Thistle fan is at least in some measure about understanding that there are no absolutes and we suffer at the hands of the vagaries of fate, fortune and the football authorities. For those of us who have, maybe not doubted, but who have been downcast - let us rejoice and savour the majesty of our current run of form. For so it is written in the Book of Lambiticus ' sometimes it's steak; sometimes it's beans on toast'
  18. Brilliant result today. Had our chips pissed on in this kind of situation before - it's clear to me this team have the mentality to do the top 6 thing by sheer graft. And, had a fiver on Thistle and Bristol Rovers (playing York) gives me 22 back!
  19. They don't get our money at Pittodrie on 30 December and we don't get theirs on 19 February. Karma's a bitch....
  20. Not going to make it for this one, and after my last visit to Tannadice that's a shame. Watched Killie - Utd on the Sportscene highlights the other night, and in all honesty if that's Mixu got them playing better they are still total sheght - particularly in defence. The draw it is, then.
  21. Loved Nicky Henderson - worked his a*se off during a particularly bleak period for the Jags and I don't feel ever really got the credit he deserved. One moment sticks in my mind - him busting a gut to chase down a lost cause of a pass in the 87 th minute to f a one - nil defeat up at Mcdiarmid.
  22. I see Banzo's trying to make sure he keeps his starting slot for Saturday... http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/partick_thistle/14119416.Stuart_Bannigan_backs_Partick_Thistle_boss_Alan_Archibald_for_manager_of_the_month/ Hopefully Archie doesn't get it and they give it to Gary Locke or Mixu - we all know about the longstanding Manager of the Month curse
