  1. Not so long ago: "The Main Stand at Firhill". Now: "The Colin Weir Stand at The Energy Check Stadium at Firhill".... Modern life is rubbish. .
  2. Anyone know the reason for Tomas's early withdrawal from Saturday's proceedings?
  3. Some really excellent finishes in among those 50 strikes. It's great to have Squiddy back in the Jags fold.
  4. Thanks for that. A beautiful thing to behold......
  5. This is excellent news for both the Club and for Christie. Fine footballers committing themselves to the Jags cause is always good to see.
  6. The best bit of TroublesTM -related toilet graffiti I ever saw was in a gents at the University of Ulster. Someone of the loyal persuasion had daubed "Gerry Adams sucks c**ks" on the cubicle wall. Someone else, of the republican persuasion, had countered with "Ian Paisley must eat them - he's a fat b**tard". Truly juvenile stuff, but I smiled for a couple of days after seeing that.....
  7. Hello Ian. What are you referring to here?
  8. Dozens - maybe hundreds - down the decades. Keeping it recent....... Robbie Muirhead.
  9. I have, what I think, is a fantastic idea for a location for this facility. Who do I contact at the Club to share my thoughts?
  10. Aren't we just. Away out to get blooturt. Have a good one all fellow Jags. Stay safe.
  11. Cerny made a save at McDiarmid early last season that I reckoned was the best I had seen, and would ever see, from a Thistle 'keeper. Only three words are required to fully describe the save I witnessed this afternoon: un.... flippin'.... believable! Really pleased for every one of us, and everyone connected with the club that we secured top six today - but especially for our goalie, who has made a huge contribution to that success. Very proud to support this club, Archie, Shaggy, all the staff, and this group of players....
  12. I don't even begin to get this comment. I assume you're trying to be provocative, or trying to assert that you're a better kind of Jags fan than I am....... Whatever, pal. I haven't even taken a sideways glance at a tabloid newspaper for decades. P.S. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39426751 Have a scroll down to the managers' post-match interviews. I'm trying to help you here......
  13. Where can I buy me one of them crystal balls? The way Brendan Rodgers is talking, he has no intention of fielding anything resembling a first-string team until the cup semi-final - which did us a favour on Wednesday night, and might do Killie a massive favour on Saturday...... We really need to go out and beat Motherwell. Sure, if Celtic are three up with five minutes to go, it's time to relax; but for us to go into this game with a "don't need to win" attitude would be, quite frankly, mental. .
  14. We need to be absolutely focused for this match. Killie's keeper had a great game last night to shut out Rangers - there's no reason to think he can't repeat that against Celtic. And if we can score against Celtic at Parkhead, maybe Kilmarnock can too - we can certainly be assured that Boyd will be going hell for leather. So a 1-0 win for them is hardly out of the question. Give the likes of McDonald, Moult and Bowman an inch and they can capitalise. If we go into the final game one point ahead of Killie, with us at Ibrox and them at home to free-falling Hearts..... we'll all need arse transplants. We thoroughly deserve a top six place for our displays this season - so we should go out and take it. A precise, high-energy performance on Saturday please Jags.
  15. Are we talking mathematically, or in terms of probability? If the former, the answer is obviously yes; if the latter, then, no. I was just "seeing" your pedantry and "raising" you....
  16. I was referring to the rule that if two teams finish on same points and same goal difference, then goals scored decides the placing.....
  17. County have just beaten Dundee by a single goal - the best possible result for us. Well, 1-0 would have been better than 2-1, but the chances of it making a difference.......
  18. Yes, it's time to let Shaggy have a go too.....
  19. I wouldn't rule out Dundee getting 9 points from their last three fixtures (away vs Ross County, away vs Hearts, home vs Accies). Last night's disaster may have been a (massive) blip. We have to aim for 40 points - i.e. wins against Ross and 'Well. Anything less and we're rolling the dice.
