  1. Think he has reached the point where he will want to go and test himself down south. As long as he continues to play as well as he has been over the next five months we can have no complaints.
  2. A few thoughts on the game yesterday. Firstly, delighted to get the three points and see Doolan get the winner with another excellent finish. In terms of performance it was far from the best we have played this season. I put this down to a couple of things, firstly the way Dundee United set up is bizarre and this has been commented on by Archie and Martin Canning so it is difficult to get a free flowing game. Also, you could tell some of the players were struggling with knocks, especially Lawless. The defence was excellent yesterday and the presence of Cerny in the last 10 minutes made things feel a bit more comfortable. Seaborne continues to impress. It has been a great turnaround over the last few months and Archie deserves great credit. One thing I have noticed is how many more players we are getting into the box when we are in the final third. Dundee United did not look like a team yesterday whereas you can tell we play for each other and the manager. I can't see United turning it around unless the chairman splashes stupid amounts of cash. What on earth has happened to John Souttar? I remember seeing him play centre back in the 1-1 game at Firhill a couple of years ago when he was about 17 and he absolutely strolled it. He was strolling about yesterday pretending to be Pirlo and was chronic, looked like he didn't care.
  3. I started regularly going around 2001 so some great memories and great players. Tough to decide between Scott Paterson and Martin Hardie both of whom were magnificent players but I have to give it to Paterson as he was just brilliant to watch. In recent years Chris Erskine has been my favourite to watch. Honourable mention to Gabriel Piccolo for being all round good guy/handsome b*****/total bombscare
  4. It would be harsh on Scully but I would much rather see Cerny in goal over the next two games.
  5. I've heard that St Mirren want the game moved to the Friday night and we are also keen for it. I think a game under the floodlights would make for a better atmosphere.
  6. When he was about to shoot for his first goal did anyone think he was going to miss? I doubt it, his composure in front of goal is sublime.
  7. Glorious. Doolan just doing what he does and scoring for fun against Kilmarnock with absolute ease. Robbie Muirhead finally showing what he is about, easily the best strike since the Fraser goal at Tynecastle. Gary Fraser showing what a class player he is with a brilliant performance. I have to echo what previous posters have said and say Booth was simply outstanding and is a massive player for us!
  8. I honestly can't believe Welsh is in the starting line up
  9. First half an hour was pretty impressive but even in that time we created sweet fa. The writing was on the wall as soon as the first goal went in. Sean Welsh should be nowhere near a Premiership team he is absolutely woeful and his continual selection is a joke. Amoo, Booth and Dumbuya were all good today, the rest were poor. Better get Gallacher some game time in the under 20s this week because he will be busy against Dundee.
  10. That was appalling from the first whistle today. Hardly created a thing and if it wasn't for the red card it could have been a defeat. Good to see Pogba score but in all truth he really has the mobility of a glacier. Big Dan was again the best player on the park, defence was pretty good again. Sean Welsh contributed more when he was out for 2 seasons than he is at the moment, absolutely abysmal again and needs swiftly dropped. Good to see Scully settle into the game and he made a couple of really good saves. Would have definitely taken 7 from 9 but we should be winning from 1-0 with a man advantage.
  11. Dan Seaborne and Liam Lindsay were outstanding today
  12. I think he is fully fit now and that is definitely starting to show. He was very good yesterday
  13. Even the happy clappers and the "keep calm it will turn around" brigade will have surely realised how grim this is. Only scoring in one match is a disgrace
  14. The whole thing has a strong smell of St Mirren last season. I just don't see any light at the end of the tunnel
  15. We're in serious trouble this season, frankly even at this point I think eleventh would be an achievement. Not helped by Osman who has been shocking so far
  16. Dan Seaborne was absolutely superb considering it was his first competitive game in months. That last ditch tackle was so important
  17. One of the best finishers in Scottish football
  18. He hasn't been the same since the injury he got after a couple of games last season. He was unbelievably good at the start of last season but at the moment I simply don't see where he fits in, especially with Welsh back now.
  19. Sean Welsh just oozes class, some quality moments and if he continues to stay fit will be a massive asset. The sending off was a joke, especially the second yellow which only seemed to come about when the Hamilton players started having a tantrum. Very good performance by the back 4, big Lindsay looked like he had been in the team for years and the save by Cerny was pretty biblical. Truly bizarre scenes at half time
  20. This recently went up on the official site. A role that is probably of interest to a lot of people. However some key bits of information seem to have been missed. 1) Salary and benefits- A fairly important factor 2) The recruitment site the club use is some sort of legacy from the Commonwealth games meaning that only Glasgow City Council residents are able to apply- Fairly important criteria but notable by its absence on the official site!! A great impression made by the club for prospective candidates.
  21. Home record since the County horror show. 4 games played, 4 games won, 0 goals conceded. Outstanding
  22. Has he been asleep for the last two and a half months?
  23. I just don't see how Graham fits into our style of play. The majority of his goals tend to come from the spot or a header. It could be interesting to have that different option available but I would much rather see Lyle Taylor or Kris Doolan leading the line
  24. Graham wouldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. Not good enough for us
