It’s probably no surprise we are having to re-budget. The last couple of sets of PTFC accounts only looked ‘okay’ because of additional funds from 3BC. TJF were right to have sought due diligence before the share transfer. What we seem to be finding out now, should have been made clearer by the previous Club Board. Still, we are where we are. Time to sort out the mess and get an effective model of fan ownership in place.

Out of interest, where does the ‘drastic’ reference come from?

We are still transitioning to a proper fan-owned model. The final outcome with a new Club Board will be the time when things come together. Besides we can’t have all the dogs in Maryhill knowing what the fans don’t eta dogs perspectives

Did he have a cargo with him?

To be fair to the current (interim) Club Board, I expect most of their time has been taken-up getting to grips with the finances and the shape of fan ownership. They have probably assumed the PTFC Trust and TJF are communicating to the fans. But going forward, I agree that communication from the Club Board is one area for immediate improvement. It should be a ‘quick win’.

Woke up to this news. Although I think we needed to make a change, I’m surprised at the timing. As @lady-isobel-barnett says, I think we might need to read between the lines. I believe the TJF statement, but surely their rep on the Interim Board must have known this was coming? Unless it was an exec decision by big Duncan. We need to get behind Dools & Paul McDonald until it’s clearer who might be coming in. Jack Ross & Dools would be a good choice. ETA I’m genuinely sorry to see Archie leave, he gave us some great memories of promotion to the top flight

The difference this time around is that I trust the process and the people involved. TJF have communicated well so far, let’s be patient while they bottom out the mess and construct a way forward to meaningful fan ownership.

I suppose they have to work through the finances as part of the discussion about ongoing fan ownership. I trust TJF to do the right thing here, as worrying as it might seem. Remind me again who on the previous Club Board said they didn’t need fans money?

Thanks @partickthedog Sandy Fyfe and the whole of the TJF Board deserve our thanks for building fan membership and not chucking in the towel when the shares went elsewhere. The low point from me was when Gerry Britton tried to ban TJF from Firhill. But they kept going and eventually the pressure led to the Club Board deserting the ship.
