  1. Again from the Mail but slightly different article from Lindau’s link. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7165283/Particks-new-Moneyball-owners-seismic-implications-Glasgow-club.html
  2. Kris Boyd hanging up his boots to concentrate on media work according to todays press so that’s one off the list.
  3. I can see both sides of the argument. I have enjoyed watching the world cup as a one off football fix in the close season however would I want to watch woman’s football every week then the answer would be no. I do like the technical side of it and slower nature which in some respect reminds me of mens footie in the 1970’s. A lot of mens football now especially at our level is fast, devoid of skill and all about small percentages/mistakes. In the passage of time the woman’s game will probably become similar, a bit like woman’s tennis. Whilst the same sport I do feel they are separate games. I know our Chairwoman is a bit advocate of the woman’s game and usually her programme notes reflect this however truth be told I could tell you very little about the Jags woman’s squad and giving the choice of our womans team winning their league or our mens team winning their opening fixture it would be the latter. Anyway lets hope Scotland Ladies can stuff Argentina and make it through to the next round.
  4. Paddy Keogh once picked me up from my house in his taxi to take me to a hospitality day at Firhill. ( I did not recognise him until he said)
  5. Or to a relegation fighting Premiership team from a promotion chasing Championship team. tomayto, tomahto...
  6. Was an easy decision to leave us. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48516739
  7. She encapsulates what football is all about. "I love the fun of it. Just running around and kicking the ball. "All I think about when I'm playing football is scoring a goal."
  8. Always liked the ground, would be a real shame. I think as neighbours a friendly would be a fantastic gesture by Jags.
  9. Happy with Clyde, call me old school but always like skelping them. When do we find out the home/aways? Hampden would be good as fond memories of 5-4 game where we beat a Queens Park side that was playing a now Champions League Final player.
  10. Selfish reasons only as remarkably it’s a ground I have never been to.
  11. Please not Hamilton away, perhaps the only silver lining of relegation was not having to go back there.
  12. Will this be regional groups? EK and Clyde away for me if so.
  13. another bummer of relegation no more Jags in FIFA, Livingston v Barca not as an enjoyable.
  14. I’m not sure how they arrived at St J and Motherwell getting more cash than Hearts? Points earned maybe as I think both might have ended with more than Hearts?? Also as allyo points out seems odd that finishing yearly in top half of League2 is more an incentive than finishing in bottom half of League1.
  15. On sale next Tuesday. 1 week window for early bird price. Prices frozen. https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-news/2019-20-season-tickets-on-sale-next-week/
  16. League prize money for all clubs just announced. The difference of finishing even a place or 2 higher would have made an significant difference. I hope we didn’t budget expected prize money on promotion and this cash is a bonus. 17. Would never in a million years be my intention to suppress opinions, was just merely stating I personally found some of the sentiment on the night not to my personal taste. Dools is a legend , probably never to be repeated in my lifetime, however next season if he lines up against us then so be it, I hope he loses as Thistle are my priority.
  18. As i said earlier a good night and good to see some thistle ex’s (I would not have recognised Balatoni) however i accept the mood on the night giving the occasion but I did cringe with all the sack the board and caldwell out stuff.
  19. Didn’t win a thing either lol. Good night had though. Any idea why Kris was not allowed to speak though?
  20. qos a good away day however was hoping for a change of scenery tbh. still not over yet.
  21. An other new signing incoming shortly too
  22. All the best at Thistle Ryan .
