  1. same way kettlewell has gone so should mccall
  2. McCall has work cut out for sure. Last week was a good victory for sure but not the turning point
  3. Decent performance from Partick yesterday but we still look weak at our opponents set piece opportunities - one such event leading to their goal. This is still Caldwell's team who, despite other results, did amazingly well against Ross County but they cannot suddenly have become the best team in the division post McCall's recruitment. Call me a doubting Thomas but I need to see a good run of results before I am convinced.
  4. Hmm....definitely good news but perhaps too many chiefs
  5. Wanted Caldwell to succeed for sure but the results have not gone our way. I am happy that the board have acted instinctively and not repeated what happened with AA.
  6. Excellent signing. No point in grudges....only our performances matter There are a lot of really negative people here who I am guessing lead pretty negative life's - it's always the way.
  7. lets get real....Kenny Miller or Mathias Pogba? lest we forget the sh*t AA signed

    New Owner

talk about set in your ways - when were the jags last in europe? the inter toto cup.....? yes I remember the Metz game are we seriously as fans wanting to accept another first half of last season as the norm....? I don't - I want to see a successful club by any means possible

    Doolan

Well done GC AA was hyper loyal for too long - hence the position we ended up at close to season end If we want a successful and progressive club, tough decisions have to be made. I will judge Caldwell on the future success of the club not on his decision to terminate the contracts of fringe players
  10. even at this time of celebration (and all thanks to GC) the unhappy moan and jibe so glad they called it wrong
  11. Ian McCall rightly highlights budgets... but that aside how come we cannot do better in a game where we are fighting for our lives against a team who are in essence playing for nothing it beggars belief and the play offs are indeed looking likely after McCall's 'resting players' comment J
  12. So much for all the GC doubters Post Christmas with his own signings it has been so much better If AA had been booted post the 4-0 drubbing - we would have been in the playoffs but if we do survive this year (and that now looks more likely) there's always next season!
  13. Anyone who was at Saturdays game would have seen that thistle are more competitive than they have been all season - County are top of the division and this game could so easily have been a draw Soft ( 'definitely wasn't a' ) penalty and a breakaway goal after Storey went down too easily in the centre circle ( looking for a free kick) were the two low points and despite a decent performance Jags came away with nothing Caldwell has inherited Archie's team and needs to be given a chance - there is so much anti Caldwell sentiment in this forum - I wonder if he was an ex-rangers player if he would receive the same premature criticism. Hmmm let me think.......
  14. Potty.....your defending of our current performances is as bad as our current defending Four more games and unless performances are excellent......Archie should be booted
  15. 'Get behind the Jags...' Indeed we are that is why we need change as we do not want to watch the further demise of the club
  16. The 12th man realises that change is needed PT..... PT are you Archie??!!!!!!
  17. I am of the sentiment that no matter what has gone on during the close season we are not prepared as a team for this season Only one person carries that responsibility and it is Archibald Last season was a disaster but board room level changes n the offing probably made it easier for everyone concerned to reinstate Archibald along with some waffle of how 'expenditure on players would remain the same to facilitate our immediate promotion' Ten games in, if we have not won at least seven of them he should be sacked, simple as
  18. the only fact that matters is we are really poor and Archie must go
  19. get rid of Archie now...simples it is a total mistake to have kept him for this season it is the same old meek language after every game no more excuses...just leave
  20. Hopefully the Weirs (as fans) can put some pressure on getting rid of Archie otherwise first division football looms As fans we probably have to gather post match outside Firhill and protest
  21. get rid of Archie now...simples it is a total mistake to have kept him for this season it is the same old meek language after every game no more excuses...just leave
  22. Archibald not leaving for the job down south confirmed his lack of ambition Must go now - Pity we couldn't get Hopkins!
  23. Archibald has to resign immediately after this match
  24. "sammon is a waste of a shirt".....fully agree he was totally useless as much as i love Partick they will surely go down now and probably it is the best thing to happen They need to rebuild with a new manager who spells out the truth, not some politically correct post match statement of 'how the players all tried their best' because the fact of the matter they are not trying their best. Sammon personifies the disinterest.
  25. Jags edged it in the end yesterday and nulled two goal Murray from the Firhill game....Sammon did have a purple patch for several games and is confident as a penalty taker but he appeared leaden footed yesterday, barely challenging and lacking fitness....we will need 'teeth' to beat Livingstone or we will follow County. Cmon Connor (and it applies to the whole team) two games to give it your all.
