Jimmy McD
The score board looks like the one we had at Firhill in the 60s but not the pylons..
Jaggernaut
Not much of a crowd there... The only match I can see where Freebairn, Brown and Cunningham played together at Porkheid is a League Cup game, August 21, 1961. We lost 3-2, crowd 27,000. In that season we finished 7th, and four players reached double-figure goal counts for us: Joe McBride 21 (1 hat-trick), Neil Duffy 14, Tommy Ewing 11 (1 hat-trick), and George Smith 11. Interesting: Davie McParland played in most games (usually at no. 11), didn't score in the League Cup, scored 7 between September and December, and then nothing until the end of the season, but fortunately those other guys were in good form. Incidentally, 5 games against the Porkheiders that season (including Glasgow Cup): 5 defeats. Goals for: 7, goals against: 18. Some things don't change much.
paralytic thistle
had an other look, think it's bobby carrol under sandy brown's arm, might be billy hainey under john freebairn's left hand, neil duffy between freebairn and chalmers, and willie fernie between chalmers and billy cunningham
Jaggernaut
An easy one. The main point of posting this one is: remember those (thankfully short-lived) blue shorts?! Who was it who came up with the idea that was a good colour combination.....?? (Actually, I secretly quite like it.)

jaggy
Ronnie Glavin of course. That was a cracking top and I had a replica, but it used to bug me when I was young that our replica tops (when thy were mainly yellow) always seemed more orangey yellow than what the actual team wore. The first time the replica was decent was when we changed to stripes.

Lenziejag
Started watching a series last night called The English Game about the early days of football. An English mill owner in Lancashire has a football team and brought 2 skilful Scottish guys down to try and beat Old Etonions in a cup game by playing the passing game. The club they came from - Partick ! Is it fact or fiction ?
