Jackie Husband. Don't know who the keeper is. Hard to tell if Jackie is deep in defence or in the box. If the latter, a collector's item!

It's our keeper Steadward

Wow! front l and r: Gerry Collins, Danny Lennon

Behind the cake: John Lambie, Jimmy Aitken(?)

Then, l to r: Allan Cowan, Frank Ifield, Alan Rough, Brown McMaster, ?, Robert Reid, ?, Dave McParland, Murder MacLeod, Bertie Auld

I think it is Jimmy Aitken.  Not Frank Ifield unfortunately.  I think this guy was a boxing promoter.  The ? after Brown is John McCormack and the other ? is Jim Oliver.

Jim Oliver! I knew it, but just couldn't recall the name. I remember reading an interview where he said something like his wife was going to divorce him if he sank any more money into PTFC!

This is another example which reinforces my belief that this is the most entertaining topic on this site. Think I had a subbuteo set with the same goalposts and stanchions. '

Great pic..great strip...great players. As a lad I was broken hearted when I read a headline in the evening paper saying something like,: "Davie McParland to join Third Lanark.."  he did indeed join them as a guest on the Hi-Hi's tour of the U.S. when their terrific left winger Joe McInnes was injured. Can you imagine Davie in any strip other than a red and yellow one?

I have never seen that photograph before, LIB. Perhaps I did as a young 'un and ruined it with my tears.. thirds already had a great forward line (Goodfellow, hilley, Harley, gray. And McInnes if memory serves) they must have been even more potent with our Davie on the wing.. it was a tremendous relief when the thirds' plane landed at Prestwick(?/ and Davie caught the bus to queen's cross!
