Sevco's new manager Caixinha claims in today's press that " Celtic and Scottish football want Rangers to be strong" What planet is he from?

He is yet to meet King apparently, who has been naughty again to the tune of £10m.

This comedy will run and run.

What arrogance! He thinks that every Scottish team's function in life is to make it easier for both cheeks to compete more easily in Europe: No more lengthy qualifying rounds before meeting something approaching a half decent side and getting hammered. Scottish football is in a dreadful state if it allows this sort of attitude to prevail.

I don't suppose he was really talking to any of us or anyone outside of Castle Greyskull for that matter. His comments were intended entirely for self consumption.

This is the same thread as the Foran one. You have to consider who the intended audience is before you can decipher the intended message.

Caixinha comes from a country where they have similar problems to Scotland in many respects with only 3 football teams (2 currently) continually taking the cash and the prizes. And no real desire for that to change.

Now he has bigotry and bile to add to the glory hunting mix and he already seems to be reading directly from a 400 year old script, Forca Caixinha!!!

Every small village and town the length and breadth of Portugal has a Benfica glory hunters supporters club taking support away from the many local teams struggling to survive. He'll feel right at home at Ibrox; part of the problem and definitely with no interest in a solution.

(With a similar land mass to Scotland, Portugal has twice the population but 3 times the unemployment rate (c15% in Portugal to c5% in Scotland). Their current GDP numbers suggest that they produce around a 1/4 of that of Scotland. Average net salaries in Portugal are just under the Scottish equivalent and Wikipedia has 20% of Portuguese living below the poverty line compared to 15% in Scotland. They have a football calendar that is driven entirely for viewing consumption with televised games on every day of the week.)

I also liked this one.

New Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha insists he is in charge of the biggest club in Scotland with the best squad of players in the country.

Would Mr Caixinha like to tell us how many points his "best squad of players" is behind the team in second place in the league, let alone the leaders ?

To be fair, it's possible he doesn't speak English and his comments are being translated by Dave King (G&SL).

His comments will have been drip fed to him by Traynor. No comment comes out of Ibrokes without getting Traynors seal of approval.

I hope that at his introductory meeting with the Lying King, Caixinha doesn't forget to pay tribute to ra berz etstwhile benefactor, Mr Mike Ashley.

Just in case you're reading this Mr C, Mr Ashley pumped millions of his own hard earned dosh into the club to keep them from turning their toes up twice in quick succession, and Mr K holds him in very high regard. Oh, and he still manufactures pure hunners of replica Ra Peepul outfits.

Finally, Pedro, if Mr King asks you what school you went to, tell him it was a fee paying proddy establishment in a wee village he'll never have heard of.

May I congratulate you on managing to use the banned word on a sevco related post without either causing offence or getting your post altered.

Chapeau

That sounds like what I've been saying with regard to them and the other erse cheek for a couple of decades now.

Yes for us all but this season the hvns are their weakest and most beatable for a long time and we haven't even drawn with them. Getting beat by Celtic these days, though always annoying is something you can shrug your shoulders over - any point from them is a bonus - but we really shouldn't be getting beat all the time by the current version of Rangers.

Feel our best opportunity to beat sevco was thrown away by us earlier in the season. In a similar vein and around the same time, the common denominator being Herr Stuckmann, we should also have picked up a point against Aberdeen,

Winning away from home to sevco shouldn't really be a forlorn hope. In fairness to that bigoted shite they've only been beaten at home once and that was only narrowly to the other arse cheek. In our favour many of our more emphatic wins have been away from home. So we shouldn't go to Ibrox (or Parkhead for that matter) minus of confidence. Realistically. tho', favourable results against County and 'Well will give us the best opportunity to defeat an ugly sister this term.
