Both were local Labour MP's at the time, it was many years ago. Maria Fyfe was pretty much universally well thought of, liked and respected. She was a battling and pioneering politician, and recognised and respected right across the political spectrum. In terms of being a Thistle regular, that was not just at Firhill.
