kennypaton
Yesterday Airdrie had a programme for Remembrance day. I know nothing unusual in this, however the front of the programme had a picture of german soldiers on a train with their wives/girlfriends saying goodbye. Seems that someone made a mistake and selected the wrong picture for the front of the programme
hamiltonjag
German soldiers on a train? A clear case of H8ns without a bus fare.

Charlie Endell
German soldiers on a train? A clear case of H8ns without a bus fare. It probably wasn't a 'mistake'.
kennypaton
I have the picture saved from a photocopyed version of the picture. Does anyone know how I can provide a link to this without it having a web address? BTW it seems like an honest mistake, still funny though. kennypaton
http://i55.tinypic.com/30a6cxx.jpg Cheers, I had no idea how to upload the picture. I wonder what other inappropriate programme covers they could have for future commemorations? Maybe a Michael Jackson tribute sponsored by a pharmacutical company? RedV
Yes, yes, we'll need to take this one on the chin - unbelievable **** up from somebody, and the official excuse is horribly lame: http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/news/3228157/Footy-club-puts-Nazi-on-poppy-tribute.html Still, we did manage to get something right by going to the expense of getting strips made up with poppies on them. How did your own tributes turn out? Edited November 15, 2010 by RedV

How did your own tributes turn out? Ours was a monumental disaster as well. We got the shape of our poppies wrong. Not sure that I can stand the loss of face and in fact it might just finish me with football altogether.

Milo
It's nauseating that they should have made such an appalling error in a Remembrance Day programme. Sorry. What I meant to say was, "Ve haff vays ov making you boak"! Edited November 15, 2010 by Milo
twinny
Is it really that big a deal? On rememberance day I'm thinking about soldiers lost in all conflicts, from all sides.

GrantB
A fortune to an Aidrieonian maybe. Like a Turkish millionaire. You'd need about £400,000 to be a Turkish millionaire these days since the Turkish Lira was revalued.
