Superbowl

What an utter bunch of ****. It hasn't even started yet and I hate it. Where's the game gone? All we've had is Xtina Aguilera ABSOLUTELY MURDERING their national anthem. Jags in the wind and rain in Perth on a tuesday in February every single time. :thumbsup2:

Aye, Christina Aguilera is always best with the tv on mute, even then she's no where near as good as she used to be.

I switched on a few minutes ago and the build up is already getting tedious. Why does tv coverage of sport always need a ridiculous amount of build up?

I think it's brilliant. The whole ethos surrounding Superbowl coverage is the complete antithesis of the BBC... adverts and product placement galore, completely over-the-top razzmatazz.... :D

Just in case you've forgotten, here's a timely reminder that the cable cam is sponsored by Bud Light.

they nearly died when an ad came on for Chevrolet cars!!!

what a game by the way!!! looks like Steelers will have the biggest comeback ever

How can you get enthusiastic about adverts and product placements ???? So tacky and vulgar.

Can't believe the BBC is party to this crass commercialism. Lord Reith must be spinning in his grave.

Ironically the BBC has nearly as many adverts as ITV, but they're all for the BBC and it's products. At least they aren't allowed to do it in the middle of a program.

With the greatest respect, CD, I am of the impression that our in-house autarchist, democracy-sceptic, free market anarchist is attempting to pull your chain in the forlorn hope of getting others to swally the bait and dive in as it were.

Btw, I concur entirely with your take on the seedy hyper commercialism that is USA Plc. Yeuch!

The NFL is brilliant, the Superbowl is a bit over the top and the half time show this year was garbage but I watch every live game throughout the season. Glad to see the Packers win, like Aaron Rodgers and never liked the Steelers.

People that moan about the adverts, the razzmataz, the thanking of our brave men and women overseas, etc, etc should just turn off. If I don't like something I don't watch it, no need to make yourself miserable.

Unless it's Reporting Scotland or BBC Breakfast when there is a documentary on that night that they want to plug...

And as for Strictly Come Dancing getting on all the news programmes, don't start me - I'd rather watch an extended version of the Egypt crisis than watch them plugging that pile of shyte...

american football is just tarts rugby, i mean look at the sluts with all their body armour and crash helmets. i dont even wear that much protection when i'm out on patrol in the green zone. They might as well wear make up, pawn their asses and be done with it
