Mr Bunny
As a kid until age 12 going on 13 I lived in Carnarvon Street: that's just a few minutes walk from the bottom of Maryhill Rd. Got taken to see the Jags once or twice by my mates' Grandpa, my own pa wasn't interested in football. 13-30 - Barrhead so local team Arthurlie or St Mirren. But when worked - used to work for a while (near Charing X) split shifts on a Saturday so started going to Firhill fairly regularly, supporting what I still considered, completely illogicaly, to be "my" team. Then until last decade lived in Ibrox area (but next to subway so ten minutes from St George's X so local to the Jags ) Now live in Partick - in theory Ibrox maybe closer as the crow flies but I'm not a crow so Firhill nearest. Edit: For a couple of years lived in Aberdeen (going to college) and used to go to Pittodrie regularly (Eddie Turnbull's time). Didn't see the Jags in the summer break as I was working in London, Havering district. Don't have any idea what's nearest that place but I did manage to see games at Arsenal (old stadium) and West Ham. Can recall getting lifted over the turnstiles in the late 60s but cant really remember much about the football, just running around with ma pals inside the ground, and getting ma macaroon bars!! First vivid memory was the League cup semi-final with Falkirk, and goin home on the bus very late as it was a school night!!
