lady-isobel-barnett
Is there any good reason why it's taking more than a fortnight for this meeting. Why can't it be Monday or next Wednesday at latest. Eh? It's the SFA we're talking about here. How would you like to organise a slap up luncheon within a week? The Future Is Unwritten
300-0? Hey, man liked your quote about the Toploader tickets! think Toploader won that one because (to my knowledge) they haven't had their tracks killed on X Factor yet. 300-1, if only you could get BetFred to take that line on. Surely 6 mcdonalds happy meals would suffice! they could even mull it over a mcflurry.
thistle4tw
Banana skin waiting to be stepped on... I reckon Morton will be the team that may find a potential bananaskin with deveronvale if anyone can remember we struggled to beat them 1-0 up at deveronvale Back in 2007
Morfin
Just win, I am back home in Scotland Jan 7 and want to see the mighty Jags.
Tom Stronach
It's a real pain in the arse that we don't find out the result of this hearing until just before the game is due to be played. I was looking at running a bus from East Kilbride as well and I'm sure the lack of interest is down to the uncertainty of our opponents
sigesige00
Spartans cannot be underestimated. Along with Cove Rangers and Edinburgh City, Spartans are the strongest non-SFL side. I believe that the SPL/SFL should be expanded to 48 teams, and Spartans/Cove Rangers/Edinburgh City should be invited.
Blackpool Jags
Spartans cannot be underestimated. Along with Cove Rangers and Edinburgh City, Spartans are the strongest non-SFL side. I believe that the SPL/SFL should be expanded to 48 teams, and Spartans/Cove Rangers/Edinburgh City should be invited. ...plus a Shetlands XI and a Hebridean select including the cream of Muck and Eigg, don't forget. I think special dispensation should be given to the latter to be excused Sunday games as the Wee Frees would display clear signs of epilepsy at the thought of Sunday fitba'. Jaggernaut
From today's Evening Times: "Jags ask beaks to speed up cup call By CHRIS JACK Share 3 Nov 2011 PARTICK THISTLE today asked the SFA to bring forward the date of their ruling on Spartans’ Scottish Cup fate. Jackie McNamara’s side were drawn to face the Edinburgh-based outfit in the third round of the cup last week. But Spartans face being thrown out of the competition after allegedly fielding an ineligible player during their second-round triumph over Culter. Striker Keith McLeod, who has been with the Ainslie Park club for a decade, is at the centre of the SFA investigation after it emerged the new contract he signed in the summer may not have been completed correctly. Mickey Lawson’s side beat Culter 2-0 to set up a glamour tie with the Jags, but they could be deprived the chance to host the Irn-Bru First Division outfit if SFA chiefs throw them out of the competition. That would mean a long trip north for McNamara’s squad and Jags fans, with Culter, who are managed by former Firhill favourite Andy Gibson, as the opposition. The outcome of the SFA enquiry will not be decided until November 10, just seven days before the third-round tie is due to take place. Thistle have asked for the meeting to be brought forward to allow the club, and supporters, more time to prepare. The Jags believe it is unfair to ask fans to arrange travel for the match at such short notice, with the First Division club likely to take a large travelling support to the fixture. Thistle also feel they would be left with sufficient time to scout whatever team they will have to face." Is it just me, or is that Jackie showing a bit too much confidence in the team? Albert's Ghost
I don't get you... should be "insufficient".
twinny
should be "insufficient". I read it as 'sufficient time' should the hearing be brought forward.
