Chicofan
As it says on the tin folks. Â Not looking good at all from an official source at Cowdenbeath.
Garscube Road End
I presume, as you posted this today, that the inspection ia at 3pm TODAY and NOT tomorrow AT KICK OFF?
Jaggernaut
Not sure if GRE is in the same time zone as the rest of us, but good to know that we'll get a decision on Friday rather than waiting until Saturday morning.

little_miss_jag
Hoping this game is on. Happy for them to arrange a Saturday morning pitch inspection as long as the game is on and not called of at the last minute! Â For some reason I rather enjoy a trip to Cowdenbeath! Watson Towers
I get the feeling that Cowden would be quite happy for it to be off: as their rearranged SC match is on Monday. Pity - for no sane reason I am SO up for this one...

Lenziejag
Watson Towers, Â I don't really get your logic. I am pretty sure that the attendance at the Thistle game on a Saturday would be just as good as a Monday night vs St J ? Are you thinking that they would prefer to be fresh for the cup game and have the potential of a next round match against a "bigger" club

I am pretty sure that the attendance at the Thistle game on a Saturday would be just as good as a Monday night vs St J ? Â No chance. Cowden fans won't be coming out in any great numbers for a league game. Just look at their form!! Add in the romance of the cup and the short journey from Perth. little_miss_jag
I think you will get more travelling jags on Saturday than travelling St Johnston fans on a Monday night! read'n'yell
Hamilton game is off. Â Seen a few pitches in the local area and they seem ok. Hopefully not too hasty in calling the game off. Time for the pitch to thaw yet.
uberteeb
I hope it is off, I'm going to be melted tonight on Xmas work night.

lady-isobel-barnett
No real surprise but Albion Rovers v Forfar game off. Hopefully get it on sooner than later and our three loanees can still benefit. Incidentally Craigen was MotM last weekend in Forfar's win over Ayr. Obviously not too much in Jackie's plans in the near or medium future, as he was prepared to cup tie him, but encouraging none the less. G SUS
I thought that New Douglas Park had Astroturf. It would be bad if a game on plastic had to be called off. Â They changed it to grass when they went to the SPL. They never changed it back when they got relegated. Â Clyde's game with Queens Park was off last Saturday and they have a plastic pitch. lady-isobel-barnett
https://twitter.com/...0776320/photo/1 Â That's the current state of the pitch. It's not as bad as i thought it would be (I'm only about 15miles away and I've just been out gritting slush that's refrozen). Got to take into account the state of the terracing as well. Mr Bunny
I thought it might be on looking at the forecast but I forgot that things can be more severe when ground is out in the open spaces and not closed in with buildings which give off heat. Still fingers crossed .. not that I can make it but don't want us to miss games if we can help it.
