Jeehon
There have been some rumours and musings circulating Firhill that, Tom Brighton is infact on trial with us. Would make sense in the striking (certainly experienced strikers) front. Therefore I would welcome this signing.
The Legend Blows
Funniest one I've heard this week was from an Aberdeen fan with a Thistle supporting mate who said we were getting Andrius Velicka on loan.

Heard that a few times, a 4 month loan deal. Load of shite but Tam Brighton is possible. He's a free agent
McKennan
Question is, can either of them score the goals needed to put smiles on our faces?
northernsoul
Or more importantly if on trial, would they even get a deal?, considering Halliwell isn't even signed up yet.
Dr.D
Don't worry the key to the Biscuit tin will be miraculously foung on Saturday morning. Have a bit of confidence in our custodians.
Firhillista
At last! Rumours! That's what I come on here for. If I wanted to listen to moaning, I could just phone the wife. Probably a reflection of how things are at the moment that I can actually get excited about the prospect of us signing Tom Brighton or Andrius Velicka. (Aw naw, was that a moan?....) Jaggyman
Question is, can either of them score the goals needed to put smiles on our faces? Doesnt matter who we sign or how well he does , someone will always have a pop at him
PaleGreySky
If it's tom brighton, we shouldn't get too excited. He's only scored twice since he left Clyde. Velicka would score about 35 goals in this division.

If he's signed to get goals and doesn't people can pop all they want.
Neiljag
He's only had 15 league starts in the last four seasons, that would worry me.

Members Willjag
Who dat, Neil? I'd gues that's the lad Brighton. Plagued by injuries all his career IIRC. Just right for us then!
Chicofan
Lets not sign another striker just freed by St Mirren...remember last season
Big Welshy
I scored 24 goals in 23 games in the 2002/03 Glasgow Sunday Amateur Football League. From midfield. The average weight of my opponent was two Jim Slavins. I'm a free agent. I'm not actually an agent. But I will play for free. I'll also play for the jersey. And the Guernsey. I have a Jags tattoo, which Billy Connolly calls a Jags tatnil. My Dad once battered Tom Brighton's Dad. I still believe there aint no party like an S Club Party. I know Liam Buchanan's runs well, and often supply him with Diareze. I'm comfortable with 4-3-3, 4-4-2, 5-3-2, 3-5-2, 4-51 etc. It's my credit card number. This is my last chance to become a Thistle player - if I fail, I will try to become a Thistle coach. I've never missed a penalty in my life, bar fixed notice ones. I can put the Fun into Firhill, Funhill. I'd run so hard they'd rename it the Aching Suite. I'd increase the female fan base so much they'd call it the Jackie Wives Stand. So forget your Bosmans, your trialists and your Tom Brighton And Hove I'll-Be-In the team on Saturday. I'm the man to take Thistle back to where they belong - the SECC in 1993. Where do I sign? 1 John Lambie
An old rumour, but might as well post it now. The goalie that I had heard we were looking into signing was Samson (this was before pre-season started, if my memory is correct), who recently joined St. Mirren from Ayr Utd. Edit: Negotiations were at a very advanced stage, not sure why they broke down. Edited July 22, 2010 by 1 John Lambie
