Agreed getting the train is impossible unless you want to sit on a rail replacement bus service on the way back!

Blackpool Jags
Annan on a Saturday would've been a top class outing, just like the last one. Cracking wee social club offering an excellent pint of Tennents. Last time there, one of the highlights had to be the half time penalty kick competition that hadn't actually, em, been arranged. That became apparent when that big polis charged down the pitch to try and huckle one of the participants, and was thwarted by Jags fans assisting the escaper over the wall and into the crowd to safety. The look of befuddlement on the officer's face when he realised he'd lost his intended capture at the very last second was totally priceless. More please - THIS year. kni
The manager says that we are going to Durham. “Myself and Scott Paterson went down to Durham University last week and a look about and the plan is to go down there for a week; probably around July 1st. We will have the full use of the university. There are great facilities there and great pitches and we’ll hopefully manage to get a couple of games in while we are down there." Fans will be hoping that there will be a pre-season jaunt to the north of England to look forward to. “We’re looking at that. We’ll probably have a closed door game on the Wednesday, maybe two closed door games, and then we’ll play an open door game for the fans on the Saturday. We’ve not got anything fixed up yet. Ian Maxwell is looking at that side of things. The problem is that we’re early back in training and most teams are still doing work on their pitch at that time; as we will be with our pitch. We will though try and get something tied up and hopefully the fans can come down and take in a game." Edited May 21, 2013 by kni

One t in Scotland
Assuming Saturday 6th July for the date a game a train ride from Carlisle area would be ideal - match in the afternoon, followed by evening racing at Carlisle with a Madness concert thrown in. http://www.carlisle-races.co.uk/summer_festival.asp
