  1. Back to work tomorrow AJ with a smile on my face : )
  2. The lonely man on Friday night... The legend on Sunday...
  3. Lying in bed ill, can hardly speak but still managed a loud YAASSS! when I seen the news. So happy he's gone. Thank you David X
  4. Looking forward to the SPFL Match Delegate’s Report after the match on Sunday when the party songs have been aired in full as they are at every game in the SPFL when UEFA aren't looking and the Scottish football authorities say and do nothing.
  5. I have access to an audio recording of last night - it's not great quality, it has a buzzing noise throughout it but you can hear what's being said. I'm not willing to post it publically but am happy to share it with anyone on the forum so if you'd like to hear it , send me a PM and I'll send you the link, cheers.
  6. It's curious (and rather tiring) how often Archie's mistakes get used to justify GC's decisions. AA got us promoted and into the top 6 - the best times I have had as Jag fan out with the Lambie years. There's no way on earth our current manager will achieve anything near this, I just don't see it. Ask for signing Kenny Miller, I don't know any Thistle fan who would have willingly replaced Doolan for Kenny Miller. I've read all the views of those supportive of GC and their justifications for him binning Doolan, but no, not for me thanks. I believe a lot of ill feeling still resonates amongst fans about this. When the next manager arrives it would be a master stroke for them to resign Doolan, especially if he does well at Ayr this season.
  7. Regarding the topic of the Youth Academy closing, came across this official statement from GB regarding Thistle's involvement with "Project Brave" posted on 15/11/17 Some interesting facts and figures in there, all sounding very positive, worth revisiting and having a look at. Would be a real shame if we lose the youth set up.
  8. I was curious to see the numbers for previous season tickets sales and remembering seeing them posted on here, I did a wee search - AGM & Accounts 2017 - here AGM & Accounts 2018 - here Thanks to Javeajag for providing the info for both of the above. Will be interesting to see what this years sales are with the new regime in place. On another note, found the picture below from here on Twitter, apparently a pic of the training ground plot. Not sure how recent this is but doesn't look too promising.
  9. We could get a bespoke banner made for the occasion...
  10. I emailed on Saturday morning; received this today - "Good afternoon, We have been inundated with requests for tickets for Weds nights free event, “ The season ahead with Gary Caldwell”. Unfortunately, we had reached the capacity of the venue before you contacted us and as such, we cannot offer you a ticket for the event. We will place your name on the reserve list and if any tickets become available we will get back in touch. We do plan to film the event and thereafter make it available to supporters via our website, details of this will be made available later this week. I am sorry that you have been unsuccessful in this regard but I thank you for your interest in our Club. Kind regards..." Perhaps the club should approach the SSE Hydro for availability
  11. Good luck to the team today and I hope all the travelling Jags fans have a brilliant day
  12. The Scottish Sun Gary Caldwell interview “Since I became manager back in October we’ve always been around the bottom three places in the league. “For me, we’ve done well to put ourselves in the position we’re in where we have one game left to finish the campaign on a positive note. “We understand this is a big game but we also want to remain optimistic and look towards what three points could do in terms of the league position."
  13. Evening Times Gary Caldwell interview “It was absolutely ridiculous how it came out,” “It is a critical game for the club,” he said. “It is all about getting a positive result on the day that will then allow the club to go on and flourish." “I don’t spend much time thinking about hypotheticals or whether we would have taken this situation when we were done at the bottom of the league. To be brutally honest, I would like us to be 10 or 15 points better off, but we are where we are. “The positive is that we have our own destiny in our own hands. If we win the game we are safe, so that is where the full focus lies.”
  14. The only thing GC has turned round was his complimentary £20,000 Nissan car from Macklin Motors last Saturday when he drove back to England to avoid attending the POTY awards.
