    I arrived at Firhill in the mid-90s as a scruffy Australian wearing an Aussie rules team’s jumper and he was nothing but charming and erudite. A lovely Thistle man. Condolences to his family.

    Aah, but back then JJ was more involved so he was the one ‘in the know’ He isn’t now and it’s killing him. His entire carry on post-fan ownership, an unequivocally fantastic thing for the club, fans and community, has been akin to a toddler who has had a rattle taken away. (Or an iPad to make it a more contemporary metaphor.)

    It’s obvious at the game how we’re much we’re being overrun in midfield and how Ayr switch it into space much quicker and efficiently. No idea how we’re going to score, we look poor creatively to say the least.

    This will be my first in-person game for about seven years, and about fifth in total since I first got dragged to a Thistle game by a crazed/far-sighted distant relative in 1975. Since then it's been a mixture of (mostly) spills and (irregular) thrills following Thislte from Australia but I've loved every romantic moment of being a Jags fan. Let's hope I'm a lucky charm.

    Just paid my yearly Jagzone subscription to start yet another year of frustration/ insomnia / joy and bitter recrimination as a fifty year long Jag exile. (With one away game against Ayr thrown in real life to keep it fun) Come on The Jags 24/25 version!

    Could have been three each at this point. On an unrelated note, has anyone ever seen the Motherwell manager and Donald Trump Jr in the same room together at the same time? Maybe DTJ is more likeable though.

    I feel like TJF communication with their members is top shelf. All encompassing, regular and, to these nomad’s eyes anyway, refreshingly honest and transparent. Maybe they could or should be advising the club on how to do exactly the same with the wider fanbase?

    Really interesting to see what’s happening here, and curious for a personal reflection from any TJF board members as to how they react if we received a proposal similar to Motherwell’s.
