He has only warmed the bench of late for Stoke. I am not saying he is the best centre half in the world but in the Scottish context he is certainly better than what i have seen of Gallagher and Findlay who both are a long way away from being English Championship standard.

Beginning to think we must have inserted a 1m sell on clause if Liam gets a Scotland call up going by this week. Firstly Liam Cooper pulls out of squad and is replaced by Stuart Findlay of Kilmarnock and today after Grant Hanley pulls out we draught in 28yr old Declan Gallagher of Motherwell as his replacement. Can’t see the lad ever getting a call up.

Back to earth with a bump after last week. Very few positives today. Fox’s save was a belter and thought Cole looked good when he came on. Thought Gordon, Cardle and Zanatta were very poor today. Miller is not my cup of darjeeling but we have nothing else up top until Jan. Also Mr Dallas masquerading as a ref again. Should have booked Banzo before he did, Zanatta is either a penalty or a booking for simulation but instead spends several mins chasing him around the pitch shouting at him with finger out like a naughty child. Missed a handball in box just before Palmer miss and got taken in with their timewasting gamesmanship and missed basic stuff like correct corner awards.

Agree regards Cole, looks a player. And also agree re Kakay looking not so much a player. Thought Niang was ok firsf half so hopefully some game time at Montrose will aid his development. First half chance looked well over the line for us but goal not given so at least the future refs looks consistent. Despite his goal Mansell looked poor, hopefully Miller can keep knocking them in until January window. Anyway 2/2 in Glasgow Cup.
