The guy Robertson we had a few weeks ago did not want to be a star and was therefore easily the best all season. Most of Osman's bookings have been as a result of crowd reaction and the ref loving the attention. Not too worried about yesterday. Next week the skipper will be back and also hopefully Fraser and Christie. Lawless will have had a kicking from Archie and Freddie revitalised after a spell on the bench. And fakeyThistle are garbage.

2-4 defeats are never the worst. Even the Motherwell 1-5 not the worst. I would select only from games that we lose 1-0, specially if the goal was in the last minute and we have been defending for 89 minutes. Because I like to see goals!!!! An absolute gem of a player. He would be one that you would love to see going on to great things and earn the money he deserves from the game. Would be great if we could offer him a big contract. I would like to see 2 up front simply because other teams have tried this tactic against them with success. I know it's not our ideology but on this occasion we should get the ball to the front 2 early as it is likely that we will be under pressure in midfield anyway. We have played well with our usual system and asGnome says with attack minded midfielders it can be attackin. Problem is, our mids will not be attack minded in this game. And Dools will be isolated. Teams have been scoring against them. Consequently they have been taking points off them. We are better than some of these teams. But we will not score by leaving Dools lonesome up front. 1-0 or 2-0 as usual. This is our chance to beat them and we should be brave. Give Dools a striking partner and get intae them. The Firhill game was embarrassing as we were terrified of them but we have improved immensely since then and they have been suspect at the back.

Lindsay commands. He had that cheating bar steward Rooney in his back pocket the whole game. Rooney is one of the most detestable players in the league and comes with an overblown reputation. Big Liam eradicated him from the first minute and it was evident from early on that he started moaning to the ref. When this happens you know a player like Rooney has lost it because he is being dominated. When the ball comes into the box It belongs to Liam. Very similar to Archie at his best. They had numerous corners and never looked like scoring; big change from previous seasons when we were bullied by them and others.

Watched game on some dodgy website. Central defenders and Bannigan yet again magnificent. And we played well with 2 strikers at the end. Pity I had to listen to the morons on commentary. Red TVs is even worse than Tom Boyd on green tv. Well done lads. Now for the worst performing 'big team' in the world.

Has he been injured? Otherwise it sums up the man's attitude to Thistle that he is only fit enough to play 65 minutes for a 3rd tier team. Thistle fans stuck with him last season till he eventually played a few good games. Then quickly reverted to garbage and has been ever since. I never EVER denigrate a jags player during the game and Over many years I can't think of many that did not give 100 p c. Perhaps Lee Hinds? I have always given Jags players complete backing and encouragement as the crowd can really help a player going through a bad spell. But I just watched Stevenson and thought he was taking the piss. Still didn't shout at him but muttered under my breath. Glad he has gone and time to encourage 1 or 2 others who have struggled a bit on to greater feats- Amoo and Pogba- and appreciate those like Banzo and Booth who knock their pan in every week for the cause.

Quite right. That Irvine is one moany B and should have been booked for his antics. And a straight red for his assault on lawless. The way the Jags turned the game round was brilliant. I think the strong wind affected us more when it was in our favour. 2nd half we got it down and played football. Mid 3 were magnificent 2nd half. The way young Lindsay dealt with the high balls continually pumped into the box was superb. And seaborne just as good. That Boyce is an awkward opponent and he never got a sniff. Forget about distribution. It's their job to deal with the physical stuff and clear their lines. How many goals did we lose in the last 2 seasons from high balls? BalAtoni and Muirhead are not physical enough. And neither is that moron Fox who fooled the ref on the one occasion we put in a high cross which he flapped at as usual.

Why is anyone empathetic with this player.? We reputedly gave him a great contract and he has been a total leech. Had a few good games last autumn then decided he had done enough. One game last season before we were out of relegation trouble, I brought 2 friends from England to Firhill who know nothing of Scottish football. They asked me who was the slow fat lazy no. 10 who was waving his hands about complaining about his team mates. After tynecastle he should have been told he would never be involved with us again. Banzo, Welsh and osman must be delighted they no longer have to cover his lack of effort. Just look at how the team has played since Stevo has been out of the team. And the Caley goal was a pure fluke. I hope Killie sign him. They deserve each other.

I heard that Fraser was on crutches. Hope this is not too serious because he is coming into some form and could still be very very good. Hope Welsh has had the kick up the ass required by being dropped. He needs to believe he can crack it at this level. I still have trust. Magnificent performances by the lads but slightly worried at lack of strength in depth. We are very dependant on osman, Bannigan, lawless in particular. The team are far more together than earlier in the season. Well done to the management team for this. And to some senior players esp seaborne.

I reproach you, Ayrshire Jag for reminding me of one of the worst nights of my life at Tannadice 1996. We should forget these nights. Erase them. It did not really happen.
