robphil
It looks like the old enclosure at Hampden, and the strips look 50's, so I guess a Glasgow or League Cup. Probably Glasgow as the players look happy. I presume it's Willie Sharp holding the clock boots the size (and approx weight) of anvils, heavy leather balls that grew even heavier in the rain, ditto shirts, shorts and socks - the modern day player has it easy
Dark Passenger
That's a game against Birmingham City at the beginning of the 2002/03 season so Billy Gibson wouldn't have signed by then. I think 14 is Paul Walker and 2 is Banjo. Edited July 12, 2015 by Dark Passenger
potty trained
That's a game against Birmingham City at the beginning of the 2002/03 season so Billy Gibson wouldn't have signed by then. I think 14 is Paul Walker and 2 is Banjo. Ah, Banjo! Loved him in our promotion season, very similar to SOD. In fact his goal v Clyde at Firhill is a carbon copy of a SOD type goal. Banjo was the be all and end all, then Paddy Kelly came back from injury for the Dundee cup game and looked outstanding. Was probably our best player at Hampden in the semi v the EBT 11. Does my memory serve me right, Paddy was in the first div squad, all season but injured until the Dundee game. I don't remember how or when he signed, just that he suddenly appeared! Veejag
Paddy Kelly got stretchered off in the 3-3 opener against St. Mirren, replaced by Richard Huxford (I think!) and I'm pretty sure the Dundee game was his comeback.

Jaggernaut
I think that's Gibson in between Pee Wee and a Birmingham player. That's well spotted! I didn't even realise there was somebody there.... But it looks like he's wearing black socks......
Veejag
That's got to be the ref. Look at the crap boots.
Dark Passenger
I see the black socks now, but you can just make out a pair of our socks through Paul's legs. A lot of our players had agreements with Diadora at the time. A fan helped arrange them. Edited July 12, 2015 by Dark Passenger
