Jaggernaut
That looks like a young Jackie Campbell, with Donnie McKinnon just behind him, John Flanagan in front of Firhill for Thrills, and - this one is a guess - Tommy Gibb? Great photo. Edited July 29, 2015 by Jaggernaut

whitburn
This looks awfy like the 4-1 game against United. Is this the famous Dan goal game? I remember it was a dull day and the strips woulda been the same ones worn.
Jaggernaut
This looks awfy like the 4-1 game against United. Is this the famous Dan goal game? I remember it was a dull day and the strips woulda been the same ones worn. As I was only a nipper I can't really remember, but in a discussion of that game quite recently somebody wrote that we wore the navy blue top that day. You'd think there might be a newspaper report and a photo somewhere, but even on Stu's site there isn't one.
jaggy
I recall being at a game v. du in 69/70 (relegation) season and I'm sure we wore dark blue that day, but I think we lost 2-0 or 2-
Jaggernaut
I recall being at a game v. du in 69/70 (relegation) season and I'm sure we wore dark blue that day, but I think we lost 2-0 or 2-1 Yes, 2-1. Ex- h un Davy Wilson scored for them that day. Although he played for DU he trained with Thistle, so he showed no celebration when he scored in the game that effectively relegated us. In fact he held his head in his hands. My first taste of relegation; not nice. But the following season was glorious!

Jaggernaut
A somewhat understated description of McLindon's wonder goal in this report: https://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=2mus-XyGPC0C&dat=19660122&printsec=frontpage&hl=en The Jags were playing in "baseball boots!!"
