Jaggernaut
One swallow doesn't make a summer. How many of Taylor's 7 goals in 20 appearance for us came from his "explosive pace and power?"
The Sunnylaw Jag
One swallow doesn't make a summer. It doesn't always make for good relationships either.
Duke Gekantawa
Overall Taylor and Doolan have similar (1 in 3) scoring records in SPL football. For me there's no clear favourite. They do have different qualities though, which is good.
Fearchar
Perhaps the real benefit isn't being sought from Lyle Taylor at all, but from Higgy.
The Cup
How many of Taylor's 7 goals in 20 appearance for us came from his "explosive pace and power?" Hearts where he outpaced and brushed off the defender to score, and Ross County where he ran through and smashed it in off the goalkeeper both spring to mind. Both Aberdeen goals and his 2nd Hearts goal I'd give as examples of his strength and pace. So just the 5. Do you think he's shit?
sabbath
Happy Lyles back but why should Dools be left out. Best to play both with Stevenson just behind. Goals, Goals Goals
allyo
Then you could leave out Bannigan whose career is....
lady-isobel-barnett
We'll need to battle hard in midfield against ICT. Can't see Stevenson dropping out, so it'll be a straight choice between Taylor and Doolan. Normally I would imagine Doolan would start but as Taylor will know most of his teammates if he's 100% I can see him get the nod.
Harry Wragg
By all accounts given the amount of balls hoisted into the box on Friday then we are a couple of days late in getting Lyle back, i'm sure he wouldnt have been bundled off the ball so easily and wouldve stuck at least one away !! Paulo
I think Lyle will be on the bench for Saturday. Expect to see him for the last 20 mins or so, but I don't think Doolan warrants being dropped, and Archie has been sticking by the guys who perform while in the team. Albert's Ghost
I wonder what his shirt number will be. Can't be less than 31, can it?
Paulo
Could be 19.
Albert's Ghost
Yes I guess so. A bit brutal, Nathan's just out the door. But much the same happened with 5.

The Earl of Hathaway
Strange - headline mentions another Premiership club in for him but no mention of it in the text of the article. And the Higgy lovefest gathers pace.... http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/partick-thistle/lyle-taylor-ready-and-raring-to-go-after-clinching-partick-thistle-196565n.117839093? The Arch
Every so often I see this thread title, and think the prodigal son Derek Lyle has returned. Thought I should share.

ifu02348
The tag interview with him was great, it was him that pushed through the move to us. Anyone know who the other SPFL club that went in for him were? I have a feeling that it was Inverness Cally as they were looking frantically to replace McKay but that's only a hunch.
