Rather than the tame powder puff stuff we've been served up in the last few years. This season even though it has been our worst in the league we have been competitive.Unlucly to lose in both games at firhill against Celtic, unlucky in the 3-4 game v Aberdeen and drew with The Rangers at Firhill. Big Col
Sorry - I don't think luck comes into it. Poor defending in all the games you mention.

Kinda agree there but most goals lost regardless of the level you're playing at are usually due to inadequate defending. By far our biggest problem has been at the other end of the pitch where we've not scored nearly enough goals. Whether that's down to missing too many goal chances or not creating them is another matter entirely. We've only scored 30 goals in 37 matches. Us scoring at well less than one goal a game means that just about every defensive mistake resulting in a goal has cost us points. That just simply shouldn't be the case and in reality a team that only scores 30 goals to date can hardly expect to amass more than the 30 points we've picked up. Yet, it is strange that we’ve been leading in so many games with so few goals. A lot has been said about Lindsay (quite rightly) but I do think we’ve suffered by not sufficiently replacing Azeez, believe it or not. For all his deficiencies in front of goal, he did create space and panic defenders. Possibly more importantly he was very good at holding the ball up when defending a narrow lead. We seemed to win a lot last year holding onto a narrow lead. We’ve not done that this year. Storey has not offered this and not added gosls either, unfortunately. A few years ago, St Johnstone finished 4th scoring 34 goals, incidentally. Edited May 12, 2018 by Duke Gekantawa
