The area is now surrounded by signs saying you have to pay for street parking. Is anyone paying? Has anyone been fined for not paying? jaggy Posted May 17, 2023 Report Share Posted May 17, 2023 I park in the bays around trossachs st area and pay using RingGo app. There are spaces that aren’t marked off as bays and others park in them but I don’t know what happens there. If I’m not the driver others park for free in the ‘private parking’ at the bottom of Trossachs St and round to the left edited to add: I just checked RingGo and sure enough it’s tripled in price since the last time I used it in March! As I was getting into my car from nowhere came a young lad who asked the familiar tho' totally daftly timed "Watch yer motor, mister?" Obviously the boy was missing a few buttons on his remote control. As I recall I felt sorry for him and gave him a miserly few bob. Reminded me of Doug & Dinsdale Piranha's futile attempts at extortion before they hit on their masterful business plan involving violence and sarcasm.
