Woodstock Jag
What are the chances this game will even be on? Even if the snow doesn't continue, it will be fairly icy on the road up from Dumfries and it could be that the Police are the ones that call it off... jags365
Please be off! I don't think I could handle freezing my arse off on Tuesday night thank you very much.

Ember
Could be a busy day even if the game isn't on... This Edited December 3, 2010 by mod7 to fix the link
PaleGreySky
That link didn't work, but going by the search it's about our planning application. I remember being told a couple of years (probably less) back that building would be starting in January 2011. Is this still the plan? Is there any indication what to expect on the PropCo front in the next wee while? Are we currently just waiting on the planning application? As far as I'm aware the plan was to go before the 'committee' and I assume this is said meeting where they will either say yes or no. Guest mod7
I attempted to edit the link above but made an error. Now my browser keeps logging me out when I click edit again. Here is the link in all its glory.
lady-isobel-barnett
Please be off! I don't think I could handle freezing my arse off on Tuesday night thank you very much. Methinks if the game doesn't go ahead on Tuesday night there'll still be freezin' of the arse whenever the game gets played. If it's not the icy conditions that cause it to get called off it'll be flooding.
MerryHell
Definite thaw in Glasgow overnight and through today. Hell, i even thought the sun had some heat in it! No real snow forecast for the next few days in Glasgow, so i'd say this had a chance of being on. It will be baltic, but we've not had footie for a fortnight and i'm staring to miss it. GrantB
What is the weather like in Glasgow now? Is there any chance of the game being on? Here in Livi, we've had a couple of foot of snow dumped upon us in the last few hours.
Junior
Pretty much the same here Grant. Roads that were clear 2 hours ago are completely covered once again I do not want to dig the feckin driveway again
Jaggernaut
Even if this game went ahead there would be a record low crowd, given the conditions. Personally I hope that reason prevails and it gets called off soon.
Third Lanark
Think the club needs to seriously think about calling the game off now. They are going to risk spending a fortune on undersoil heating only for it to be called off anyway. In addition its going to be a nightmare for anyone outside Glasgow to get to the game leading to an extremely sparse attendance at best. MerryHell
Yeah, despite my optimism on Saturday, i'd say this was off. Weather 5 minutes from Firhill is poor, outside Glasgow is worse and it's heading south to Dunfries from here. It would be wreckless to allow this game to be on. I miss football

1 John Lambie
Game has to, I'm sure it will, be off. Roads are deadly & public transport is at a stand still. I couldn't make it into uni today for an exam it was so bad, well over an hour & I had travelled less than a mile!

In addition its going to be a nightmare for anyone outside Glasgow to get to the game leading to an extremely sparse attendance at best. the European Champions are at Firhill on friday - and it's the SRU's responsibility to maintain the pitch. Glasgow cannot afford for that game to not go ahead (postponing it isn't an option, we forfeit the points if it isn't played this weekend). The SRU will be dooing everything possible to ensure the pitch is kept playable this week. If the game is called off (from what I have seen of Glasgow, I suspect it will be when, not if) it will most likely be for the areas around the ground, not for the pitch. Or so I hope atleast...
