twinny
How on earth did they ever get football played in the snow with orange balls back in the day, when if 2-3 inches of snow fall the day before a game it's off these days? Just get the thick brooms in and shovel it away.

sandy
Get some shovels & brushes out & push it off the pitch before that happens. Get Inspector Morse on the case too; every pitch needs a good Thaw once in a while

Junior
Well thats a ****** joke if its on the Wednesday , a pile of us will be over in Dublin for the Scotland game plus that will be on the TV cutting the crowd even more. Once again quality work from the Perth farming *********
Mr Bunny
At one point the ball gets so covered in snow you can't see it. Looks like the mad training session Thistle had once when they played a match with no ball (and couldn't score).

Looks like the mad training session Thistle had once when they played a match with no ball (and couldn't score). You must be watching with no sound. The orange ball bursts and they only have white ones left, with fans singing something along the lines of "change the ball" or "where's the ball". Hilarious watching them hack each other while apparantly aiming for the ball.

PaleGreySky
I've said this before, but the people who cancel games on alright but not great days need to remember where and when the game is: SCOTLAND in WINTER. If you cancel the game cos of a bit of rain and wind on a saturday, the replay on a midweek evening WHEN THE SUN HAS GONE DOWN has a great chance of being even worse. When do these people suggest we play our games if they're not happy to play them in pretty predictable conditions for the months scheduled season? They seem to be adamant that football is a winter sport, yet are completely dismissive of the idea of actually playing the games in winter conditions. Norman
crazy!!! whats the big hurry to get it played? If not this week then next Monday with a possible replay on Tueor Wed!!!! The OF replay isn't for 3 weeks We've already got midweek fixtures arranged for the next few weeks and they have some too. Not sure what the rules about priority are in this case. Would also imagine that they would want the game played before the match program becomes out-dated, saving themselves the cost of binning the one produced for Saturday and producing a new one. PaleGreySky
If the game is off tomorrow, be prepared to go on Wednesday because the daytime high is 8C and dry with fog in Perth.
uberteeb
It's a bit of a piss take to do this to be honest. Tomorrow is a pain for me to get to but with rejigging some things at work I should be able to make it, Wednesday is a lot less likely. It's a good point about cancelling for relatively minor poor conditions, if the ball wasn't bouncing or running very well on Saturday so what? If there is a dusting of snow on the pitch tomorrow so what?
Yellow & Redneck
St.Johnstone are a joke of a club. Since Saturday, on the BBC website, it forecast sleet and heavy showers for Monday, yet some absolute numbnuts decided to leave the covers off the pitch! It's very frustrating, between this country's absolute pathetic Health and Safety rules that say over paid football players cant play on pitches that are, sprinkled in snow, have a few puddles on them, have ice around the corner flags etc and St.Johnstone's clearly abysmal staff, that playing a football game, in Scotland, in February, is a near impossibility. We have rugby played on our field for God's sake, and yet we can get our fixtures played on time! Absolutely pathetic.
