San Starko certainly hasn't been one of our happiest hunting grounds over the years (but then again, where has been?), but a day oot in Fife is always worth it, ken?

Station about 20 min from the park (if you're up for it you can jump from the train as it goes past). Don't recall seeing any boozers between the station and the ground.

Have never attempted raith away as a 'trip' and will probably never try.

Trains appear to be via Edinburgh, fairly expensive, and don't think there is much going close to the ground, although if you give Andy Dowie, Steve Fulton or Jamie Mitchell a call I am sure they can point you in the right direction.

Well, Raith have 1 more point than Ayr having played two more games and have one of the worst home records in the league.

So if we won, it would be a hollow victory and not worth celebrating in any way.

If we didn't win, it would be shockingly bad result and increase calls for McNamara to resign.

The joys of being a Jags fan, eh?

Considering the possibility of Raith away on saturday....Haven't been too see us v Raith away for about 20 years.

Whats it like for an away day? decent boozers near the ground...train station near the ground?

Cheers :thumbsup2:

If you do decide to go, Chicofan, the pubs worth note are the Novar in Nicol St and the Estuary in Links St. Both are en route from the station and usually very busy. The Estuary is probably the nearest to the ground (5mins) so best to get in before the supporters buses arrive.

In my mind only Palmerston, Dingwall and Ayr are better away visits but when you look at the rest that's not saying much.

It’s not too bad if you don’t mind paying the rather pricey train fare via Haymarket. The Novar Bar is the best one, it’s half way between the station and ground and after the game you get to help yourself to a big cauldron of home made soup and bread for free which is good.

There are a few other boozers along the high street, don’t remember any of the names, the one that used to be right beside the ground has closed, don’t know if it has re-opened since our game there earlier this season.

They also have an official smoking bit at the back of the away stand.

To anyone following the game via www.ptfc.co.uk. Having a majorly difficult afternoon through a combination of things. Apology for the loss of service, and any further loss of service, during the first half especially since it happened just as we scored. You can always try the Club's twitter feed https://twitter.com/#!/ThistleTweet should there be further problems.
