A great way to start the season with 3 points and unfurling the league flag. Yes the defence needs work, thought Bell was poor today, Holt put in a few good challenges. Graham and Rudden striking up a very good partnership. Good to speak to some fellow forum users before the game and after it.

My biggest disappointment was actually Docherty also as someone else has mentioned. I thought he looked so slow on the ball at times that he slowed us down. I actually don’t agree with McCall saying we were poor but maybe he has bigger expectations than I do .. I thought McKenna had a shaky start but improved as the game went on and won 2 headers that actually ended up winning the game for us. Banzo played well and his ball through for Rudden who I thought was excellent today was lovely to watch on replay. Perfectly weighted and great to see Rudden knowing exactly where to put it. Thought Mayo was Excellent considering he came into our squad a few days ago.. he won headers, made good interceptions and carried the ball out of defence very well also.. Pretty much the exact same I would say about Holt. Bell and Sneddon I thought looked a bit out ther depth .. and I’d have to say the same for Foster at times but He blows hot and cold and after we scored the third goal I felt he helped us time waste. Brian Graham though I f*cking love this guy. His effort from the first whistle until last was outstanding. He pushed, he shoved and left the odd little elbow in. He bullied the queens defence and noised them up all day. I’m absolutely delighted we have him here.

Over the last 20 years, one of the greatest benefits of being a member of this site while working abroad - and there are plenty of them - has been Camallain's wonderful goal videos from the North Stand. One positive worth mentioning- when we scored the third I was expecting a very tense final 5 minutes, but we saw out the game superbly and professionally

We'll play better and not win this season but today was the type of game we'd have just have laid down to in the recent past. Worried slightly that we're still experimenting with formations and need to use more width but we're supposed to be signing a wide player and Tiffoney will probably be ready to start next week

Sneddon is not good enough again in particular 1st goal today also again no command of box, Holt clearly let him know he was to quiet just before half-time and there no7 Paton was target at every corner and we failed to mark him, he has scored a few already in cups so clearly he was target and Gibson caused us although mainly McKenna problems for big part of game. Still wins a win.

I’m happy with how we played.. Really didn’t see why we took Turner and Rudden as off as I thought the were always our most creative/dangerous players. But we won so I’m happy and will keep my gub shut

Good win! Not the perfect performance, but a very competent one. A fairly decent result oand overall a Very acceptable start to the seasons

Agree that's a bit much. Just like to point out that you're really waiting 1 hour 30 minutes. At 2.50pm there's a live appearance from Neil Doncaster, which will give us Jags fans an opportunity to praise and celebrate his achievements at the SPFL.
