  1. Several agents have promised to donate, but as they were expecting their usual Christmas bonus from Archibald they're all a bit short. As it stands I have raised thirty-eight pence a lego brick and two AA batteries. My work on the Bronze statue to the blessed Jackie continues............
  2. Since the Blessed Jackie left, our team has gradually been filled with dumplin's. As a manager, with the exception of the boys who have come through the ranks and perhaps two or three from the current first team all could easily be dumped.............There are at the very least twenty junior teams through out the leagues in Scotland Thistle would have no chance against, so any discontent from our jumped up juniors aren't worth Sh*t...........................As I said before now is not the time to bicker and argue, the time for that was when Piccollo was signed, since that day we were heading into trouble....
  3. This is an area that must concentrated more upon. There must be a transition between development and the first team, when you look to the likes of Alex Ferguson who would be in the stands watching the youth sides, then this is the very least I would expect from our management. A coordinated structure and a vision to take us from division 2 straight through the championship to the premier league and into Europe..........If Europe is not the goal of management then perhaps football isn't for you. In Gary we trust..............sort of.
  4. You cant make sugar out of sh!te. If only those who are shouting for heads didn't shout out when Piccolo was signed. The last manager left us in a mess, what bothers me with Caldwell is he hasn't identified the keeper as a weak link yet. The mark of a good manager is to build out from the back, and then build the spine of the team. As I said when Jackie (God bless him) left, Bannigan is finished, he hasn't kicked a ball since Jackie (God bless him) left, and unless Caldwell has got Harry Potters magic wand this is a position to be filled as well.
  5. Shanks, Stein and Fergie would have problems trying to sort the mess that the last Bam left. First game: see the strength of what you'd been left with. Second game: try a few changes. Third game: try some pattern play. Fourth game ICT: darling buds of improvement. It shows how far we fell when Elliot is even considered one of our better players. The defence is a must, Bell cant command his box and rooted to the goal line, and big Sean cant header a ball. And our Christie.............how about chief raffle ticket salesman in the Lambie stand.
  6. We need a goalkeeping coach that learns the keeper under his remit to "use their box". These white line are there for a purpose and not just for the junkies. In this area there is only one man who can not only touch the ball, but pick it up. This puts the Goalkeeper at a much greater advantage than anyone else on the park. Time after time balls are coming into our area while, for some reason or other, our keeper is rooted to the ground. Bell is hopeless, he is going to cost us dearly, Sneddon is the better of the two but even he does not command the box. Is this the fault of the coach?.
  7. Archibald the James T Kirk of football managers. He built a team to take Thistle into a league where NO Thistle team has ever been before. To all the Dumplin's, who had "faith" in Archibald, look no further than Piccolo, That we should have sacked the Chump.
  8. Now Caldwell knows what's ahead. The last clown has left him with a team of Bingers and Sky Rockets. we carefully skirted around the manager who built the team for Archibald, so Gary your the man. We are in serious trouble the best we can salvage is not to go down again. The board should have been sacked for allowing Archibald to continue after the Livingston game. Batten down the hatches because its going to be a long dark Christmas.
  9. The Archibald legacy is not going to be a quick fix. Must stabilise this team first.... 0-0 will do. Number 37 is no better than stopping some random person on the street giving him a few training games and then let him loose on the pitch to create mayhem...........Spidey senses tingling.
  10. Hard Game for a new manager. To build a team out of the shambles left by the last incumbent.
  11. Talking about disasters...............who will ever forget the gem that was Derek Johnstone........
  12. Its going to seem like the beachgrove garden with all the dead wood that Archibald accumulated, a lot of hungry agents this Christmas. Just steady the club because we were in trouble. Listened to the Wigan boys on utube talking about too many draws and not enough wins. Goals win games, the style is not important, even your Man City boys will agree. No one has ever jumped out of their seat at a great pass. sort out the mess at the back, cut out the pointless passing and go for goals.....................Oh and by the way..............Welcome to FIRHILL.
  13. After taking over the successful team that Jackie build, its incredible what a shower of bufters Archibald built to replace them with.................
  14. Would sell my soul for Paul Lambert..................about the only one who undo the Archibald legacy, would go so far as say Europe is a possibility without having to declare a war...............
  15. Bannigan.........The man who had his agent trying all over the world to get out of Firhill............Pluck me. This undoubtedly highlights the level of mince coming from this site. Is this how low we get........................phuck sake...................................Bannigan. Get yourself down the Crow is bishopbriggs and see how he milk his supposed injury. Did this prick have thistle best interest at heart???
  16. Cut the Bull...............Everyone's talking around the issue. We all Know deep down the man for the job is the man who built the team that got promoted.............JACKIE...............Simples.
  17. Me thinks you may have other issues with Jackie. Jackie built the team that Archibald got and embarrassingly took the credit for, I understand where you're coming from, I've stood and listened to the "My second team is" crowd when a certain half of the old firm come a calling. I'm not suggesting for one moment your "Loyalties" are not 100% behind the Jags, perhaps a little bit equality & diversity training would not be fully wasted. Remember when the "Rats" Archibald & Paterson abandoned us for the Arabs?. Just Remember McNamara moulded and without doubt built the team that won promotion. Sadly I don't think this Board have the guts to get Jackie back, just for the reasons I mentioned earlier, but lets seek a proper manager, preferably one who hasn't been to Largs.
  18. Lets be Honest. John Lambie is gone, so lets go for the man who actually built the team that Archibald took the credit for. You know who I'm talking about. ........ooooooh Jacki
  19. You seem to be missing the point. We could have the greatest players in the world, the fact was, the dumpin we had in charge couldn't organise or motivate eff all. We have players who should save us from relegation. If we get a real manager in, we should be safe to try next season. If only Jackie would come back and build a team like before that Archibald took the credit for.
  20. My expectation is not for any new manager to have the ambition to get into the top six, but to be a continuing success in Europe. If this is not your goal then go away and lets find a candidate who has this ambition. Its not all about money. The Weirs have provided our club with the opportunity to bring on our own youth through, if this has been squandered then its not only the two who have been sacked, but a close eyes must be kept on how the academy is progressing..........Onwards and Upwards............the club must always come first.
  21. There is no sentiment in football, you are judged by results. To say that this decision was long over due is up there with the greatest understatements of all time. Its a big hard tough world out there and we've all had to make our way through it. I see comments about getting another job in football, my advice son would be to pick another career path. Now is the time to look for a proper manager who could build a team the way McNamara done, a team that not only can attack and score but can defend. This season is lost its now a case of survival, it will be a time whereby the board will now have to prove themselves.
  22. Ah well there's no point then.........Ill just keep my spud for when a policeman's not looking.
  23. Devils advocate peeps. Deep down we all know there's going to be a twist in the tail. Archibald cant organise a defence even though it was his starter for ten, is Archibald going to produce his long awaited plan B to score goals or as some previous clairvoyant has already hinted at, Dools will just be relegated to the bench. Just think what a real manager could do with this boys potential.....................sorry to p#ss on you parade.
