  1. I was hoping for a restructuring- at least in the interim. Three leagues of 14. Something a wee bit different to look forward to after all this gloom. However if they are going to call it, we have been dire all year and never found ways to win games we should have. home form was definitely abysmal. If they find a way to keep Hearts up though that will be a farce. Still hopeful - but look forward to any kind of football coming our way
  2. It’s on my shortlist to watch even more so now Thanks for the link
  3. I love this! great thread - Well done mates
  4. It took 2-3 months for my approval I had given up
  5. Fairly new to these boards but since I am so far away geographically I enjoy the banter. We are all in the same big boat and hope it won't be too far away that we are wondering how the hell we can't win a game! Better still how we can't seem to lose. Hunker down stay safe!
  6. ATP suspended tour for 6 weeks, NBA indefinite suspension, MLS suspended for 30 days. Seems where it is all going. Need to keep a positive perspective and look forward to when everything is back to normal (other than we might actually win a game)
  7. It’s a really sad situation we are all in. i know I selfishly look to see if the games are on, whether Scotland or here, but at the same time being totally aware of the seriousness of the health implications who knows where we go from here but let’s hope there is a silver lining
  8. Like has been said, hopeful ( a point would be valuable) but not expectant! ......then again what was the result when Hamilton went to Ibrox??
  9. Season history says we will not keep a clean sheet - therefore we must score 2 to win. That plays on the confidence of the players and fans. Tuesday is the best time to turn that around! I'd be thrilled with 1-0!!
  10. So sad that this is a very true statement ..... .....and the home form is of a relegation team Lets turn it around
  11. AndyMac wrote: "Due to the solid and stable footing of our club, I truly believe, that given time; Ian McCall and Alan Archibald will build one of the best and most successful Thistle teams that any of us have ever seen. " I echo this somewhat. I think stability is a VITAL quality. We have stability financially now which is a major foundation. McCall and Archibald have had failings but overall they have been individually successful. I trust that good things will come from this partnership - and hopefully keep players that we can build a consistent Starting XI around.
  12. Are Falkirk full time in the third tier?
  13. I appreciate the perspective of the analysis in this post - also the concluding note of optimism! Thank you
  14. While I am not confident we can stay up - I am hopeful. I was saying 8th three weeks back - now I'd gladly take 9th and escape in the play-offs. It's a tough division - but we have better resources than most. The manager did not become a bad manager overnight so I have confidence he can turn us around - I just hope it is this season. We need stability in the team - I thought we might have that after the January transfer window - but once again it seems that despondency has set in.
  15. The only real benefit of this game would be to build confidence. Instead the usual despondency ensues. To compound Alloa pick up a point. In the end if we cannot beat the part timers we simply belong down with the others. I still have hope. After all Hamilton always find a way to avoid the drop against all odds
  16. I agree with “if we are in it, let’s win it” if anything a good performance will build confidence. A loss at home will just compound a terrible home record. Hope it’s a good night out for all those of you attending
  17. Just in from work (I'm 6 hours behind Glasgow) to find a draw. I guess it says a lot that I'm not too disappointed. A draw at home seems good these days - that sums it up. Still think we can get 8th - but it will take a clean sheet and a win at home sometime soon!
  18. On a bit of vacation and just tuned in to find this result I was not over optimistic but certainly had hope. it seems to me like a repeat of last season. Anytime you have a home record as poor as we do, a struggle is going to be on the cards i have faith in the management and that the resources are there for success. However, we have less margin for error than any other team.
  19. I was hoping we would hang on to Kenny 'til the end of the season - but I would imagine he still wants to play and still get on the team sheet. We need the salary space. I wish him well - I've always liked him and admire the dedication at his age.
  20. love the enthusiasm - however I would take a guaranteed 5- 8 and run with it right now. Got to beat the part-timers!
  21. Fantastic data from afk - any idea about the conversion %?
  22. Not to my eyes - but spared Zanatta's blushes.
  23. Thanks for all these stories - a little kindness goes a long way.....
