Jaggernaut
Great pic. The old Easter Road... Niven, then left to right: Donnie McKinnon, John Harvey, and Davie McParland? Further back, in the centre: Not sure, but could it be Neil Duffy?

That was my first thought too, but I can't find a game in which Rae and the three others played together at Easter Road. I'd bet a lot of money on being right about McParland, but I'm less sure about McKinnon and Harvey....
ARu-Strathbungo
I might be wrong, but that goalkeeper looks slimmer than photographs I have seen of George Niven [I don't think I ever saw him play], but too much hair for Billy Richie. a f kincaid
McKinnon, ?, Rae, McLindon, McParland. If that combination of players is correct, then it can only be Niven in goal. Admittedly he looks rather slim there. A 5-1 thrashing on 30/9/1967. Niven, Campbell, Muir, McParland, McKinnon, Gibb, McLindon, RAE, Coulston, Flanagan, Duncan. [O'Neil may have been a used sub.]

McLindon was also my first guess before I opted for Harvey.

I guess with the camera angle and when you stretch skywards for a ball you will look a bit slimmer

Bone)

And both McKinnon and McParland look too young for it to be 1969....... it looks like McLindon...... and I don't easily see who the "Rae" player might be from the team you list..... I like these puzzles.

lady-isobel-barnett
I too think it's Davie McP. What also supports that is afk's team has McParland at No4 that day. Putting aside the resemblance I think it would be fair to assume that whoever it is would be the right half.
