eljaggo
Being "debt free" as per the club's statement means that the investment is via shares not loans. People invest in football clubs for altruistic reasons, and do not expect any significant return on their investment - I cannot believe this is any different. Therefore the savings in servicing the bank overdraft/loan is unlikely to be offset to any extent by increased dividends paid to new shareholders. That is the (continuing) benefit to the club. BowenBoys
Not again Being "debt free" as per the club's statement means that the investment is via shares not loans. Therefore the savings in servicing the bank overdraft/loan is unlikely to be offset to any extent by increased dividends paid to new shareholders. That is the (continuing) benefit to the club. This might be true in this case, it might not. You ask us to take the club statement at face value yet you continue to extrapolate.

So where does the Bank come into all this? I ask again.
javeajag
So where does the Bank come into all this? I ask again. I have just heard that we are debt free but have debts in place if those debts but no one knows who to for how much or for what but whatever it is it's bad

stillresigned
Providing it doesn't involve EBTs or the like, I'll remain relatively sanguine.

BowenBoys
... Hopefully there is no dragging on for all eternity like the launch of TAG fiasco. Three months and counting. Anybody heard anything about the Partick Thistle Football Club Trust?
ian_mac
You've got about as much chance as hearing something from the Jags Trust.
lady-isobel-barnett
I fully expect details about the New Trust will be brought up at the next Club/Fans quarterly meeting.
