TMJ
The recent and on-going publicity generated by Kingsley has been incredible. He is the gift, which keeps giving. I will admit to being embarrassed when I first saw him, but I have quickly changed my opinion, I now think he is a work of genius. I hope the club are getting a percentage of the sales of the merchandise. How much work has David Shrigley contributed to Thistle this season? Along with the givaways, publicity, fun and the connection between the fans and our weird, but proud totem . Can we do something to thank him? How about : Jag of the Year Please think of something we can do.
ian_mac
Sorry, but I think this is a bit much. As good as the Kingsley publicity has been, has it actually translated in to more people through the gate? Probably not. I haven't read anywhere that Shrigley has been working for free on this, which is what your post implies. Also, the giveaway balls and scarves weren't designed by him, but by other artists altogether. Jag Of The Year? Alan Archibald
TMJ
I don't think we have seen any new bodies through the gates, and if there were, how could we check if it was down to Kingsley? I was just trying to think of a way of thanking someone for doing something positive for us. Maybe he was involved with the Givaways. I don't know, but I don't think they would have happened without his initial involvement. I wont bother replying. Life is too short for negative crap.
ChewinGumMacaroonBaaaz
I think Kingsley is Braw.... but work? ... He's a sun with a grumpy face. ... Sure I read it was a pal of Dave, a costume designer that brought him into the 3rd dimension, and gave him legs! And I don't think It's Dave who does the loveable rogue's twitter feed or races Pandas on cold Friday nights. I mean to say, "Well done David" a very big well done, a moment of genius and Jaggerly love has gifted us a unique mascot. Much appreciated and I'm sure there has been more to it than just a scribble for some interested 'merican chums. However, I think the artist himself would probably agree, he might have created a sensation, but the phenomenon and legend has been very much a team effort. Well done Thistle - coolest club in Scotland and Kingsford - Best capital management in town.... and Maxy for being Kingsley's interpreter on ra telly.... and the fans for (in the majority) saying a group "F-You!!! he might be a werdo, but he's our weirdo and that's cool".... Jag of the Year? .... I agree with Ian Mac. And I'm glad to say I thought the singing at the St.Mirren game suggested he'd certainly give Kingsley a better race to that title than the spikey wee yellow fellow gave those panda's. Fair shout... Honourable mentions maybe, but nah.

theestle
I agree Kingsley has been a positive force for the club. However the contribution by the Weirs has far surpassed Kingsley's contribution. Through the Weirs academy which will hopefully ensure a stead supply of home grown talent to embellish the senior team or bring in hefty transfer revenue, and the removal of the jags debt allowing for a bigger playing budget (ok I recognise the Weirs won £161m - but they didn't have to provide any money, unlike Kingsley financed through commercialism). This is enormous for Thistle. Is there any suggestions which the Jags fans can use to show our heartfelt gratitude to the Weirs ?
ThickAsThieves
Is there any suggestions which the Jags fans can use to show our heartfelt gratitude to the Weirs ? Nothing too big, just a card with a lottery ticket inside would be fine I think.
Paulo
Do we need to pick just one person to thank? Let the competition commence, then.

Norgethistle
Thanking David Shrigley in this way is like thanking the artists that appeared on band aid, Where as yes it's helped our cause publicity wise, it's also raised his profile and helped his career to boot
potty trained
I'd like to nominate Fawlty Towers. His ability to start a thread every time the club farts, is inspiring,
Fawlty Towers
I'd like to nominate Fawlty Towers. His ability to start a thread every time the club farts, is inspiring, Thank you but I would prefer to nominate the person at the club who came up with the fan card idea which I am sure we all saw on the website but for those who missed it: http://ptfc.co.uk/news/2015-2016/january_2016/save_money_every_game_with_a_ptfc_fan_card
ChewinGumMacaroonBaaaz
Thank you but I would prefer to nominate the person at the club who came up with the fan card idea which I am sure we all saw on the website but for those who missed it: http://ptfc.co.uk/ne...a_ptfc_fan_card That was my idea that. .... ... kinda... I suggested it more as a way to build up "credit for loyalty/attendance" rather than the straight match entry 10% discount card that seems to have been launched - http://www.wearethistle.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/10768-club-income-issues-a-braindump/page__st__40 Maybe this was the most practical method with the gate entry system we have in place. However, although not as convenient as a one off purchase, this scheme may dent season ticket sales. Or maybe I've misunderstood the system advertised.... again. ..... Anyhoo.....Hope it's a success. Credit is due as most sponsors just back clubs for the publicity (though a few involved with wee clubs do it partly because they do support them) but this must be the first sponsor that actually gave stuff to the fans as well?
