Gaucho
I reckon he'd still have done a job for us.
Woodstock Jag
Their announcement completely omits the fact he played for Killie
cyprusjag
Got to wonder why he was frozen out by Hartley?
lady-isobel-barnett
Back roughly where he started up here, with a club, managed by the same fella, that's little chance of getting promoted for now but with more worries about staying up. Wonder if McCall will start off playing him in defence? Not a bad thing for Young Nisbet to be playing beside the likes of Harkins and Cairney.

Aye, he can get a look at what happens to players when they think they're better than Thistle! :D
Pinhead
I thought Ayr were part time, obviously not with some of the players they have
Lindau
Looks like Conrad is jumping ship to Somerset as well according to the papers this morning. Corky likes signing ex jags players!
Pinhead
Apparently Harkins is overweight and shite at Ayr Utd, Cairney even worse.
Garscube Road End
It'll be Jordan McMillan next.
Lambies Lost Doo
It's a real shame how the career of Paul Cairney has worked out. Our player of the season who started well at hibs and then injuries and a downward spiral. Nice guy when I met him with Thistle
lady-isobel-barnett
It's a real shame how the career of Paul Cairney has worked out. Our player of the season who started well at hibs and then injuries and a downward spiral. Nice guy when I met him with Thistle Paul had fitness and recurring illness problems with us but I think we still got the best out of him. Even in his last season with us, when he was our star player, he often looked totally shattered towards the end of 90 minutes. I think subsequent managers have tried to play him in less demanding positions but to no avail.
partickthedog
Cairney was a very good finisher. If half a dozen years ago, you had to pick one Thistle player to finish off a one on one chance to save your life, then I suspect many of us would have trusted our fate to Paul even above such excellent players as Kris Doolan and Chris Erskine. Jaggernaut
Cairney was excellent for us. Agreed that we got the best of him.
