Dick Dastardly
Unfortunately Archie has pronounced the doom-laden: "need to keep it tight for the first 20 minutes." F*ck that; get in about them from the off, Jags! Score early, THEN keep it tight! Obviously, I'm not the manager..... Can we not score late please. I'm not sure that my heart can handle defending for 89 minutes at their place.
ian_mac
I think we are overthinking this now. Beat Motherwell on Saturday and I don't think anyone can catch us - that should be our only worry just now. If, after we get another 3 points, Killie still manage to catch us with their run of fixtures then you would have to just say fair play to them as they will have earned it. I'm confident that one more win is all we need though.
lady-isobel-barnett
I'd like to think that going into the last game before the split we'll be wanting to see Killie beat Hearts.
ScottyDFA
So on that basis you still believe ross county can overtake us? Are we talking mathematically, or in terms of probability? If the former, the answer is obviously yes; if the latter, then, no. I was just "seeing" your pedantry and "raising" you....
MonehJags
I wouldn't be at all surprised if sevco let us down tonight. It would ease the pressure going into the motherwell game if Kilmarnock were to lose tonight. As Ian said though, if Kilmarnock do overtake us, with the fixtures they have, you need to hold your hands up and give them the credit
Dick Dastardly
Kilmarnock ...... you need to hold your hands up and give them the credit I cannot comprehend any situation where these words would form any believable sentence
lady-isobel-barnett
I cannot comprehend any situation where these words would form any believable sentence "Kilmarnock on verge of entering administration. AlgarveJag
"Kilmarnock on verge of entering administration. You need to hold your hands up and give them the credit." Technically (not so say pedantically), you would hold your hands OUT to give them credit, in such circumstances (or then again you might not). MonehJags
With less than 3 hours to kick off it seems ominous as there hasn't been a thread started "Partick Thistle v Sellic 05/04/2017"
sandy
I'll fill the silence about tonight with a glowing report of visiting Spotland for the League One re-arranged game between Rochdale and Port Vale last night. £1 promotional pay at the gate, over 4000 fans there. A red card, player stretchered off, 3 goals for Rochdale and the sight of big Logan in goals; yes the blond-haired bear that played in last seasons Scottish Cup winning Hibs team. The quality in EFL League One is equivalent (if not better) than most SPFL teams outside of Celtic & Aberdeen. JAG1970
Killie won't catch us now. When did we last finish 6th in the top league? Bertie Auld's tenure? Fantastic achievement this season!
AlgarveJag
I think we might defy the odds and get a point this evening can you pick my numbers for the Euromillions too?
sandy
can you pick my numbers for the Euromillions too? Ironically I've been shite at the Thistle PAWS predictions this season. Suddenly I call two of our games right. Is the Thistle way really, unpredictable but joyous!

Dick Dastardly
If I have done my sums right, only Killy can catch us now and to do that, they either need to win at Parkhead, or draw at Parkhead then overtake a 15 goal difference advantage in their game with Hearts. Almost there !
