Derby Jag
Really hard to see what comes next from here but look forward to reading more from TFJ who have made a very good impression with me since the change in board (although it looks potentially as if the old board were being quite shamelessly strung along by 3BC) I will continue to pay into TJF, put trust in board and plan to attend the EGM. I will be happy to volunteer some of my time and any skills I have that can help moving forward.

Yellow & Redneck
It might be getting to the point where the 600+ members are called upon to be vocal in their desire for this saga to move forward. Unless there is collaboration on matchdays to plainly express how those members feel, I fear Low, Britton, et al. will simply stick their head in the sand.
sandy
Personally I do think we are close to the point where action is required. Where else do 3BC put these shares to honour Colin Weirs wishes?

I tend to agree with this. TJF could be a vehicle for this, but ultimately the supporters (and its members) need to decide what they want, and to show a united front stepping forward. scotty
2 minutes ago, denismcquadeno.eleven said: My feeling is the same one I’ve had for a number of years. Fans love their club and have a passion and loyalty to it. They stick with it through the bad as well as the good times. They spend a lot of money supporting it too…BUT…you have to separate the club itself, the team, the players etc from who those running it at any particular time. The management (directors etc) need to be judged, on their decisions. The present encumbants of that control of (my club) ie PTFC are NOT people I trust, and that is based on what I’ve heard in terms of what they’ve said and what they’ve done or not done. Therefore I still love and support PTFC but I do not like and in fact have the present management (chair/ directors of the same club.) Nothing has made me change that view, since TJF started negotiations again to try to gain fan ownership of the club. And the way that TJF were treated previously ie through that statement was a disgrace! And, of course, if that same management has been ‘playing cards’ they’ve been doing it very well. The season ticket money has been all paid and is now in the hands of this management. Lots of people have bought shirts and perhaps other merchandise. Some have sponsored players shirts etc. Many pay in to the Centenery fund ever week, or buy 50-50 tickets. Thistle supporrters now little leverage. They could boycott matches but they’ve already paid, many of them up front for that. They boycott buying food/drink at the ground or cease paying into Centenery fund, or buying 50-50 raffle tickets. Some could boycott hospitality. But, as supporters now, we have a weak hand, when it comes to ‘persuading’ or ‘pressuring’ 3BCs etc to think again. The fact that there were no conciliatory words on the website towards TJF or even acknowledgement that negotiations had re-started over the last few months was a huge alarm bell for me. In fact, there is no statement on the website today about TJF being given what my dear old dad called endearingly, ‘the bum’s rush.’ We’ll never know for sure, but there’s plenty of reason to suspect 3BCs NEVER changed their stance after that 9 April statement and were never serious in the re-negotiations about starting again and trying to make things work a second time with TJF. I feel sorry for those leading TJF right now-in receiving another very obvious snub. The only missing this time is ‘NOT FIT AND PROPER, but I suppose we can assume, that still applies to 3BCs view of TJF. Where next? Who can say, but for myself, PTFC will not be getting another 1p of my disposable income, through merchandise etc. I still support PTFC the club, but NOT those running it, and I will be pleased when those temporary custodians of the club’s affairs are no longer in charge. That's all true but looking at things in the longer term, a well organised fans' organisation could plan for seasons in advance.

The fact we are hearing the breaking of this news from TJF and not the Club speaks volumes. It's the Club's decision after all, so you would assume they would want to be the ones to inform the Jags fanbase of their decision. Presumably by a prepared statement. Each of us will draw our own conclusion re this matter. I know what mine is.

Derby Jag
I was trying to explain to a friend there how we got into this situation and trying to remember chronologically was too much for me! It feels an age ago that the rumours of the Chinese billionaire / Moneyball guy buying the club started circulating that got the ball rolling. Is anyone able to give a rough timeline of the big moments?

But there is a commonality of directorship between TBC and the Club, so I appreciate that lines are blurred.

Where does that take us. TJF was designed as much more than just a group of fans. It was designed for a purpose. That purpose Is no longer on the table, if it ever was. Possibly the best thing you can do is try to attend the EGM remotely. PM @Woodstock Jag if you are a TJF member to arrange

One individual has the power to communicate what’s happening and they are a PR specialist. I await her statement with interest.

Money talks. I’m withholding all further contributions to the Club until we have clarity on the share handover to fans. Its deeply sad that we have to consider such short-term pain. But what other mechanisms do we have at our disposal?

jaggymct
Very disappointing news but no great shock to be honest. I would not be surprised if there is an announcement soon stating that 3BC have transferred the shares to the PTFC Trust leaving TJF to negotiate with them. sandy
What a mystery, eh? The ‘fans body’ that can’t be named. Pathetic statement really. Lets prepare ourselves for a Jags Trust / 3BC puppets mash-up. I’m out cos this is a farce. Future monies to Club now withheld.
