Dave MacKinnon was on off the ball on Saturday talking about this. Also on was Heather Holloway and Kirstin Fraser who were talking about Partick Thistle Her Game too. They were very informative and Thistle are the only Scottish team that has this scheme to get females young and old involved in football both supporting and playing.

Did you know? Donnie and Ronnie MacKinnon were the sons of Dave's great Grandfathers brother, meaning they were second cousins once removed. Also, Murdo MacLeod is Dave's cousin. Remarkably, Donnie and Murdo both played with and managed Thistle at one point. Even wilder is the fact that Dave played for Thistle while his second cousin took charge as caretaker in 1980!

He says Firhill was "magical" under Bertie Auld and the gang of crazies, and there are many untold stories in his new book. He done a brill wee video interview with PLZ and we've embedded it on his page @ the Archive →

Some great facts, including Davie made his debut against Dundee Utd and his last game for us was against the same opposition.
